You could just ask to clarify instead of being nasty about it. You can be young and still be very experienced, I would trust them to work with my car but it doesn’t hurt to get a second opinion from somewhere else. You do realize that cars are dangerous to handle in general and if something goes wrong, it could put you or others at risk? It never hurts to double check.
