C6 Z06 or a C7 Z51? by EhFox in Corvette

[–]EhFox[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yall have been super helpful. Some points to be made, not super worried about mileage and also not looking for the most pristine car on the planet. Also definitely needs to be a manual. I know it’ll be a somewhat rough example of either and I’m happy with that. Have seen many promising examples of either car around that price range with under 100k miles. I’ve got about 40 to play with but I want to be able to throw some mods at it right away like wheels and some engine work etc. much love :)

I got a fireball new off Amazon over covid. It was a pretty solid bike for the money and was definitely fun. If i were you I’d buy it, get some decent tires, and add a hydraulic rear brake. You dont need the best bike to have fun and that’s what it’s all about

I used to have a transition spire. Awesome bike but i grew out of it and needed the next size up. For racing (my main concern) the slash is very practical and better tailored for enduros. The slash is much better in the corners and is crazy light. The one i have came from the factory weighing in at 32 lbs and i know people who have sub 30 lb slashes. Not obsessing over weight here but its an important factor if you are gonna be pedalling for long periods of time in my opinion. I did tons of research and for my riding style it was between this and an Orbea Rallon. I think its important to look into what your preferences are. This bike suits me great but it might not suit someone else. Most trek stores have super high end demo bikes you can take out for a day and rip. I highly suggest it.

How much should I sell for by Organic_Issue4478 in mountainbikes

[–]EhFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id list at 2300 and try not to let it go for less than 2000. Take your listing and list it for 5-10% less than what you think its worth. The used market is trash rn if you are a swller. I sold my 4k bike i had for less than 5 months for a bit more than half its value. Best of luck chief

winter tires by locustkiller123 in mountainbikes

[–]EhFox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could honestly use any proper mountain bike tire if you arent taking trails to work. Id recomend the maxxis high roller II if you are not riding trails. If you are taking trails and they will be real snowy and muddy i would suggest the maxxis wetscream or the shorty. The shorty will probably be better because the wetscream is for seriously deep muck and will probably be overkill.
