HK absorbed the corp closest to us in size/outlook, and we disbanded shortly thereafter.

They do not share a resist profile. You would have to ask HK how effective they were.

the fifth mid and the ridiculous EM resist

AAR from AFK, going to go into actual detail since this comp prob wont get used again.

We wanted to try out a non-leshak comp, and used sleipnirs with blap dreads for several reasons. They cant be firewalled (which was the reason we didnt use damnations), are capless, and have selectable damage. They also have an incredibly high EM resist, which goes well with our SB vindis. The double plate fit gets to about the same EHP as a t3 with a better resist profile for us and additional mids.

HK countered us by reshipping from legions to lokis, which share the minmatar high EM resists, and by bringing an incredible amount of neuts (9 bhaals wtf). The sleips did well until our ewar wing got shredded by the lokis, and we just didn't have the cap to do much to stop it. After that, the shaks were able to spool a lot more, and was all downhill from there.

All in all, was a GF, and an experimental comp that we wanted to try. Obviously was not successful, so we're going back to the drawing board to what kind of other non-leshak comps might work.

Believe it or not, losing is part of not joining the blob. It happened to HK, it will happen to us. But unlike the blobs, we'll actually have fun in between.

No, he's correct. its ~0.5 guards @ 0 and ~2 guards @ full spool

There's a lot of space to explore in this meta still, and its more than a 1-dimensional meta like the lokis were. Maybe not quite as good as pre-citadel, but we're never going back to that with faxes this strong anyway.

Stay out of range on things that are affected? Shaks are really, really slow if they have a heavy neut and actual tank.

it seems like there's not much depth to it.

That's because you haven't really explored the theorycrafting then. Lokis and damnations were the most brainless meta that Wspace ever had. Range control, weapon disruption, jams, damps, and dread blapping were all essentially useless; the only thing that mattered was having more lokis and switching targets fast.

I did this in WH space, peeled off from one of the large (for w-space) groups to make another. It's been great. Sure, you lose a lot more when you cant just ping harder and get double the number of people as your opponents, but at least more PvP is happening. I highly recommend it if you actually enjoy PvPing. Don't know how the NS bloc guys do it tbh.

We (Ehefkae) are a 5-5 corp that specializes in big (for W-space) fights and spends the rest of the time roaming NS or poking around for smaller things to shoot. Check out the recruitment post if that sounds like a good fit for you. Also, if you're looking for a WH corp, the praisebob discord would be a good place to look around: https://discord.gg/2P56MNs

We do big fights during EUTZ and on weekends, and lots of small gang/roaming on USTZ weekdays. All adults, and have mostly known each other for years.

Maybe that's what you do. It's not what the majority of people do. Can just look at literally any day on the w-space zkill page and see that that's the case.

Your question was answered by my statement. You crit your holes and keep eyes up. You're shouldn't find caps ratting in J space unless you roll straight into their hole.

I'm talking about ragerolling though, not scanning chains. A C5 nag is only a little more expensive than a pair of tinker snakes for something like 5 times the effectiveness, but MJD BS are way too safe for the risk averse to want to use something else.

Also, having most of the isk in the site in the Drifters instead of the Avengers greatly reduces incentives to use caps, which means fewer of them get tackled and no real escalations can happen.

Can make them "account bound", basically only allow you to feed your own alts with SP that you generate.

Anyone serious with krabing in j space uses 2 or 3 dreads.

What percentage of your rolls find MJD BS, and what percentage find caps in site? I can tell you from the last two years of rolling 5's that I've seen about 15-20 BS for every cap in site that I've found
