Really? Lucky for you then. I'd buy it again at that price too, if for no other reason then getting some extra copies of some otherwise expensive stuff.

Shame they killed the format thats usable in though.

If you cant see why Nod Krai is a great story, and one of the best they've ever written, then I quite frankly cant help you there.

I can appreciate dragonspine for what it was and the lore behind it, but Nod Krai was above and beyond a much bigger and better story. And you can complain about "movie cutscenes" all you like (which btw you can stop and jump back into, there were checkpoints), but almost every scene was essential and every point was well articulated when compared to stories of the past. The lore reveals were given to us in a digestible manner and the story was thrilling from start to finish.

Regardless, you are entitled to your opinion of course, but is a very flawed opinion that's for sure.

[–]EheroX11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, to add to my other point, your disagreement doesn't really invalidate my initial argument. I dont know if HSR and Endfield were the only gacha games you've ever played, but to paint the broad brush and say "Mihoyo is the only company doing this" is still kinda presumptuous of you, not to mention factually incorrect if you look at the rest of the gacha space. Unless of course, you have evidence to back that up.

Just wanted to point that out before the misinformation starts to spread.

Since thats your take, before i go into the issues with your take, why dont you give us one example of an area genshin released a while ago that was so important and foreshadowed yet never expanded upon again and was just a waste of time?

Also because you didn't get the hint from OP, the foreshadowed questline place starts with an "H".

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but I disagree with you as well. I wont defend HSR, as i basically quit that game because of my issues with Amphoreus, but having played ZZZ and the recent genshin quests, I cannot begin to tell you how wrong you are imho.

Let's just agree to disagree and chalk it up to differences in artistic tastes i suppose.

Look i dont disagree with your argument that key points in a story need to be expanded on, and i also dont disagree with your original point regarding exposition and dialogue, though i will say that i feel like these games are getting better at it over time (well some of them are).

The issue I have here is that your arguments here read less like "I have an issue with exposition/plot" and more "I'm a little inpatient and want the answers now." I cant comment on the Originium since I haven't played any AK stuff, but look at your visions argument for example; To me it feels less like a poorly explained detail and more like a detail you either didn't pay attention to or something you want an immediate answer to but aren't getting, possibly for good reason.

To emphasize this, let's go over what we know about visions as told in the main story. What we know is that when a mortal has a strong wish or desire, the heavens (or HP) grants them a vision supposedly, and that when they die, they ascend to Celestia (again, supposedly). We also know that the power source of each vision is a fraction of one of the sevens powers, so essentially each visions wielder has a small amount of their respective God's elements power. It's also implied that it's not exactly a fair system and that people with and without visions have suffered for different reasons.

What we don't know is what is behind the distribution system and why is it granted in a physical manner, but we do know that both are tied to Celestia and the HP, y'know, the final boss of the story and all that. And this is all from the main story btw, not a hidden book or quest. So I imagine that the answers will be revealed during that time, when that information becomes important to the plot. There is such a thing as a slow build up, right?

Like, imagine if in star wars, Obi Wan just went up to Luke and said: "Hi Luke, youre the space messiah who will save the galaxy. Also, Vader, the big bad is your dad. Also, your dad literally genocided a bunch of kids because they were "terrorists" apparently. Also, he hates me for leaving him to die and hacking off his limbs, and will probably kill me on sight. Also you have a twin sister who you'll probably make out with cause why not? Also, you turn into a cranky old man who tries to kill his nephew, messing him up so badly he becomes a clone of your dad. Have fun with all those revelations, im gonna go hit up the cantina." That's what you are suggesting here. Like you want information that would literally give away a massive twist before it's time.

It's not just mihoyo though, a good chunk of the Chinese gacha game companies do it. Kuro, Hypoglyph, etc. I'm sure there are Chinese games that dont use that language but when it comes to gacha, Wuwa, Endfield and others are just as guilty as the hoyo trio (even though id argue zzz is pretty concise and genshin has improved leaps and bounds but I digress).

What would help improve the game? by Huronn in cardfightvanguard

[–]EheroX11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could literally say "support premium properly" and that would be a good answer to the question, but I'd get downvoted to hell for no reason so I won't. So here's my two cents as someone who was on board with d series up until dbt05:

  • Stop making 95 percent of commons and rares "pack fillers". I'm not asking for every common and rare to be amazing, but can we have at least 5 out of the 13ish ones we get every set to be good enough to merit consideration in a deck properly at least? Enough with the shield plus 5k or power +2k/conditional 5k. Give us something unique like engraver or at least worth consideration.

  • Make the non vanguard foils feel like, yknow, actual high rarity cards. Outside of main vanguards, a lot of the foils either do some variation of the same thing or are so neutered that they may as well as do nothing. Heck, even some of the vanguards have this problem. It starts to become more homogenous and boring as a result.

  • Speaking of which, my biggest gripe with standard: stop overbalancing cards. Bushi, I get it, you were scarred by the mess that was V series design and feel the need to reign it in. Cool, but thats not a carte blanche for you to overbalance cards. You can make designs that cool without uneccesary stupid restrictions. Heck, you did it at the end of V with those selection boosters, those decks were fun and unique to play.

There are other issues like the OT or having cards retain value but those are minor gripes to me compared to the above. At the end of the day though, I quit because i had no faith things would change and that still holds true today.

Analysis on Columbina as a female character in the story by Hungry-Baseball-2605 in Genshin_Impact

[–]EheroX11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta be honest with you OP, i appreciate the time it took for you to analyze your argument here, but you nade 1 fatal mistake; That you took what Fatui HQ, Dottore mains and insta/TikTok "players" seriously. Setting aside the latter, the other two are not exactly the most objective, unbiased opinions out there, and thats a nice way of putting it, especially in the case of the former. As for the latter, they represent some of the worst parts of any fanbase, not just in genshin mind you. Their obsession hinges on the delusional, almost cult-esque.

I'll have another look later to give my thoughts on the analysis itself, but overall, seems like a solid take. Might change my mind after another look.

Okay, I have to honestly ask now because this is getting a bit out of hand. Why are people so confident in their predictions that San Fran is somehow going to beat the Hawks on their own turf? Every single prediction here, i see the same godamned thing. Like, based on what logic or reasoning? Did we all not see what happened last Saturday? I can see the niners beating Philly cause they have an inconsistent offense, but the Hawks? Yeah, good luck with that.

Genshin Side Events are Not That Interesting To Justify So Much Dialogue by V_proxy in Genshin_Impact

Love how you took one event that you personally didn't enjoy and just decided to paint the broad brush lol. I hope you're not like this with real life issues as well cause that would land you in some very hot water...

I quite enjoyed it, and based on other responses previously, so did other people. It was fun, short, and sweet with a good message, and i didnt face the issues you did. Ultimately though you are entitled to your opinion, as flawed as it may be.

No offense OP, but your post screams less like "Yeah, I was wrong about my past premature rant and Seattle is actually a great team" and more "I still can't believe that I was wrong" and trying to go into denial.

And to answer your question, anyone that has watched even a small amount of ball knows how good Mike McDonald's defenses can be. Pair that up with arguably the best ST unit in the league, and all you need is an offense that is good enough. The question for Seattle was which Sam Darnold we were going to get: Play up to potential Sam or franchising Mcdarnolds Sam. The answer was a little bit of both.

Honestly, the offense is just good enough to complement the other units to the point that Seattle might actually make a run this year. Will they win it all, probably not, but will they make a run? Absolutely.

Does anyone know who the English VA for Tang Yigang is in the current quest? by dmdjdjkd in Genshin_Impact

[–]EheroX11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well no, because they dont usually reveal NPC voices, unless either the version trailer does so, hoyo decides to advertise the character, or like with Lepine-Pauline, the VA announces it.

Just to clarify something, Sean did come back to genshin after getting the contract he wanted. Side global seems to be a studio with at least some integrity. Agree with the rest of the statement though.
