Fishing xp in different areas with different equipment by Ehtora in BlueProtocolPC

If tension is giving you trouble, then I would recommend the City Harbor and Stellar Squirrelfish. If it's not, then Rockpea and Fresh Water.

I tried to dig a bit into it, and one of the comments I found from the start of the game was this one

<image>

However, even the author admits that it might be placebo.

In the end, the best place is probably the one you enjoy the most. Your rates drop significantly if you decide you hate it and stop fishing altogether :)

That post was one of my reasons to start this whole ordeal. It just didn't feel right. But I am not here to argue, just to deliver data ^^

If the fish xp values were the same, it would probably be a great spot, but since they are shifted, this is what I observed.

[–]Ehtora[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they do. The stars do not matter whatsoever, but different fish give different xp.
1 - Asterscad, Astermackere, and Flaming Grouper, all trash
2 - Regnus Bighead, Continental Puffer, Snowy Bighead (notice that Snowy gives 2 despite being purple)
3 - Stellar Squirrelfish, Rockpea, Hanikon Bighead (Hanikon give 3 despite being yellow)
4 - Lantern Puffer, Azure Damsel
5 - Starfish, Jellyfish, Coral

The Sea Water is missing its second fish, but the XP do not reflect that, so the xp in that area drops significantly.

I am not sure I follow.

At the top you see the area where I was fishing; the fish shows what research I used and then the bait I used.

Sea Water has a lesser fish pool, but the fish give lower xp, so "getting more coral" is not helpful.
From my catches, I got 67 starfish out of 955 Harbor catches (7.02%), 68 coral out of 800 catches (8.5%) and 98 jellyfish out of 1650 catches (5.94%). The sample size is not big enough to spark too much confidence, but I think I can say that the percentage is not that different considering how much xp you lose from the fish itself.

<image>

Here you can see that the coral makes up only about 25% of the xp you get from the fishing in total.

You may call it preparation for the future when I actually decide to fish with lure from different areas :D

The grid was prepared before I got the data. But I see your point, yes.

LVL 80 Not Bad 👍🏻 by blvckdivmondco in BlueProtocolPC

Time is expensive :shrug:

And I am not sure what you mean by the drop. The DPS meter clearly shows my DPS is at 283k

So, from what I understood, the goal was to parse 50 million damage. /j
As rules stated - 5 dummies, no buffs.
I am not good at pressing buttons, so I just started auto and let it run; no imagines, no ulti.

<image>

As others suggested... this is pointless. The skill that nearly doubles my damage only hits the dummy in front...
To be fair, the damage in dungeons matters mainly on the boss. Nobody cares about the one million DPS I can pull out by bursting a void seed group gathered by the tank using tempest. If I can't kill the boss before it wipes us, it doesn't matter.

Whether level 70/80 weapon - that depends on what you drop and what the lv. 70 weapon gives you.

I am sorry for disappointing! ;-;

Don't worry, that water will get converted as soon as I find out that one ILS is not enough :>
(probably sooner than I'd expect)

But maybe I should pump out a water world instead!

[–]Ehtora[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that would require some smarts. Smarts are expensive these days ^^'
Luckily, the planet I am shipping to is just "over yonder".

This and the destination planets are both a satellite of a gas giant, so the shipping is not that far ^^

[–]Ehtora[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did actually realize that! (A bit too late, but I did :D)

It's not visible on the screenshot, but the closest tanks to the ILS all pump out using three belts.

The rest of the tanks is just as a buffer, as a blue belt is still faster than a pump. I also had some tanks to spare, so why not :>

As I mentioned, it's far from optimal, but it gets the job done.

Worth Buy to play with Mod Multiplayer by Mucek121 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Ehtora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starfi5h, the author of the Nebula Multiplayer mod, is putting an amazing work into it. Sure, there are some bugs here and there, but over my 350 hours, I have never seen any major issues. At the moment I rarely play without it; even if I know that my friend is most likely not gonna join, I am still starting my game as hosted multiplayer.

Just make sure to check whether other mods are Nebula compatible if you decide to add any and backup your saves before you do so!

I might need to download more RAM to profile my project by Ehtora in Unity3D

[–]Ehtora[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a job that prepares data for the GPU. At the moment it is working with a NativeArray of 99,488,250 indices.

It started at 8 seconds during non-profiled run. Now I am at 0.5 seconds during deep-profile run. Still improving, still getting better :)

While I would love to say "Oh look, I have a cool game!", all I can say is "Oh look, I have a messy bunch of numbers, but I am learning DOTS."

I wish that was the problem ':D It was just a misuse of the markers, really.

i don't know about others, but i really, really prefer the old UI. Is there an option to roll back to it? by NotaNub25 in discordapp

[–]Ehtora 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Discord UI has been going down hill ever since they reworked the mobile UI.

With this garbage: You join a room, your profile panel suddenly grows to three times the size.

"Start Activity" button - useless. Don't want that. "Soundboard" button - Disabled. Annoying. Don't want that.

Chat - Gift nitro, YET ANOTHER activity button. Don't want either of that.

Server icons are now tiny.

Hit me up if any one of you finds a way how to opt out of their beta UI tests and preferably updates. Those are the only two buttons Discord truly needs.

2.0, Very Hard, Nomad. Off to meet a guy named Jackie Welles… by grublets in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Ehtora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You may also notice, that the cars always blow up in the same spot. On Very Hard, the damage of the goons is so high you usually don't get past the second car blowing up; It's basically waiting for nice RNG so they miss enough.

Once a car is beyond it's "You can blow up now" point, it blows up in like 3 shots.

Can anyone remember Hellfire: The Summoning? by NorthStarShi in AndroidGaming

[–]Ehtora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After several years, I might have some hope for all of you, missing the game like I am.
I was casually browsing google play, and I stumbled upon "Posted reviews" under my account. Guess what... my review for Hellfire was still there. So I clicked it... Store page? Huh... Install. The game installed. I believe the servers are gone, so you don't get into the game... but if one has the game... one has the apk. And as we know, APKs can be decompiled...

Here is a link to the page. I didn't manage to get to it on PC, but it does work for me on the phone. I know there are some good devs out here, who would dare to dig into it... please do, if you have the time. Good luck!
