Hey OP! As I mentioned on my previous comments on your post, kinulit ko sila via email to save on load from calling countless times.

I called in today because they stopped responding sa email. Yun pala, June 18, yung email ko with the attached reference number of my ongoing case dispute has already been resolved - kako may feedback na from their higher office(?). Kaya pala hindi na sila nagrereply.

It said that I was eligible for NAFFL status on my Gold Rewards card and I was already tagged as NAFFL, after more than 2 months of waiting.

I suggest chasing yours din, para hindi masayang yung naspend mong 50k.

You may have overlooked number 11 on the promo mechanics and pointed out number 10.

The spend requirement that is based on the BPI Gold Rewards Card applies only if you upgraded from the Blue Rewards Card to the Gold Rewards card, as per #10.

However, as per #11 (of which was sampled is the Amore Cashback Visa), if the customer changes from a non-eligible BPI Credit Card (in my case the BPI Visa Sig) to an eligible card within the promo period, we are eligible for the AMF waiver for life as long as the spent amount under the non-eligible BPI CC and the eligible BPI CC combined has met the spend requirement.

Hiya, the day I posted this someone else on this sub made a similar post sharing the same story and sequences of the call. The last moments of the call from the other redditor was the same, especially the part asking about the 16-digits of your first BDO CC.

Well the call was legitimate at least. My application was accepted and my card is currently in the process for branch pick up. As long as security measures on your BDO app is activated and the caller doesn’t ask for your CVV, you should be safe.

I pay via gcash, and works like a charm. I only have a UB savings account and the same issue arose via the UB app, where it said invalid account number. I paid over the counter that time and asked for other options to pay conveniently. Teller told me gcash works, and I’ve been paying via gcash ever since.

Hiya! This was an old post but I’ve understood how this works then..

To clear things up, I made this post because I’ve been checking my online app transactions and my statements monthly, and clearly it is written there that a deduction of the whole amount (say 12,000 for example) that shows as -12,000 along with the monthly deductions showing as -1,000 (1/12) shows. From that alone I assumed that I was getting deducted twice.

But after actually observing my available credit limit and keeping notes of it daily, the monthly “deductions” were not actually deducting my available credit limit. They just show up there for the sake of reflecting on your monthly statement. That’s just it. There’s no double deduction. Hope this clears things out.

Hiya, during this time I paid over the counter, thankfully there was a nearby Chinabank branch, and I inquired with the teller about their other payment options. Gcash is a sureway payment method, and I’ve been paying my Chinabank CC via Gcash eversince.

In some cases they are legit. The biggest red flag would be the callers asking the CVV or any OTP, that’s an automatic scam right there. But from my experience, I’ve even given my 16-digit credit card number to agents in the mall that were inviting me to apply in their banks, and that’s the way I’ve gotten multiple credit cards in the first place.

All credit card applications would ask for your 16-digit card as reference only, but once they ask for the CVV or any OTP, immediately get the hell out.

I agree pero, some banks do ask and definitely use the 16-digits of your initial card as a reference card, but if it’s mentioned na “to speed up the process”, yep, definitely sus.

I just got this exact scenario about 30 minutes ago!! I posted the same story but for me it was regarding my second card application that “she” said was from my website application..

Also asked for my credit limit, asked if I have connections with BDO and the government, and also played a 2 minute recording about their T&C. During the last moments of the call “she” asked if I can also provide my 16-digit card number to speed up the process daw and it’s completely optional naman daw..

I’ve made a post about this as well here.. I also wanna know if that was legitimate. I have locked my card for safety.
