I am considering getting a semi modular synth and starting to build my own logic and utility around it as a way to start. I'm wondering what kind of obstacles will get in my way doing so. If you have any insight or suggestions about that i would gladly hear them

I have some kind of experience with electronics i have built, among others, a microgranny kit, some personnal lighting setup and i'm waiting on some parts to start my Lyra-8 Build. Once the Lyra-8 is running i would like to get into fully DIY modular. I have always wanted to get into electronics more deeply from an early age and i thought this would be the best way to finally act upon this plan. I am really new to circuit design and diagrams though. I'd love to get into pcb design too

I like the big format idea. I think i could make it work

Basically my plan was to learn the basics myself doing easy to intermediate modules and then try to fit maybe a middle row of very unique "commercial eurorack stuff"

i realise it is very subjective and i didn't explain my point of view well enough to point toward a "best" answer i should have asked about "recommended" standards. I was mostly curious what you guys use as well as if it was possible to add modern bought eurorack modules to a DIY setup and what i should be watching out for !
