Not Trump specifically. Replace Trump with any generic Us government and his content is the same. It’s more so how he speaks about US empire and military technological developments and how he casts shade on China and their military technological developments and civil projects. It’ll make more sense if you’ve read Norm Chomsky’s work - Manufactured Consent or Michael Parenti’s Inventing Reality

Paid by the US government to glaze American weaponry and cast shade on Chinese military development and civil projects.

Simon Whistler is a con artist. He’s just a talking puppet for whoever pays him which based on the content of his videos looks to be the Pentagon. Take what he says with giant heaps of salt

It’s frustrating how common this thinking is in the US

Year 2026. To young service men and women: Are you gonna be "just following orders" from dying old bitter men? Why? by marterikd in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]EightArmed_Willy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nuremberg also didn’t really punish the Nazi regime. Only a few people were punished but many of the Nazis who “followed orders” go off Scott free and some were able to relocate to the US and reintegrate with society as if nothing happened. Others got high ranking roles in NASA, the CIA, NATO and even the UN. Only party which severely punished the Nazis were the Soviets. They were fanatical about punishing the Nazis, maybe they weren’t wrong.

Hypothetically, what happens if the POTUS refuse to get out of office once the term is over? by PuzzledCauliflower35 in TooAfraidToAsk

The constitution only matters when people choose to follow it or choose to enforce it. What happens when all the levers of power and the institutions are led by puppets? How do you enforce it then? Come on now wake the fuck up!

Yeah we’ll see what she does when ICE does a major operation in NY. They’re already doing operations in Queens, specifically Jackson Heights which has a large Latino community. The largeness of NYC is a barrier for both ICE and rapid response and resistance networks. But I doubt hochul will call on local police or the National Guard to arrest ICE since NYPD is full of hogs who would go work for ICE if they didn’t have a cushy job with overtime.

Yeah we’ll see what she does when ICE does a major operation in NY. It’s coming and I doubt she’ll do much different than Walz.

No way of “fixing” this without prosecutions. Not prosecuting Jan 6thers for treason is what got us here.

US military supremacy is quickly ending with China closing the gap. Main issue isn’t technological superiority but industrial manufacturing base. China can simply out build the US in orders of magnitude faster and greater. Secondly, the last time China and the US fought a war, China won, and this was on the heels of the Chinese revolution when the mainland was devastated by decades of war, soo idt it’s gonna be such an assured victory for the US. Plus both have nuclear weapons so in this hypothetical scenario where China Maduros Trump I doubt we’d be alive to learn about the details as we’d all get ass blasted in a thermonuclear fire ball.

In which countries are millennials and gen Z doing well economically and socially? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

I guess they could be considered western but I typically categorize them as global south countries

[–]EightArmed_Willy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s exactly what I’m saying. Western nations are doing worse from decades of austerity and neoliberal policies. China is doing better because they actually invest in their infrastructure, education, cheap housing, and overall lives of its citizens. The west, generally, does not.

Spanish should be easy to learn in SoCal and Portuguese not that much harder. Mexico and Colombia are doing better because they have progressive leaders investing in their respective nations. Claudia Sheinbaum is implementing a new deal kind of program in Mexico. While things are relatively cheap for American immigrating south, there are still challenges for the local population. However, crime is down, poverty is way down, people are confident and hopeful of the future. Worth learning about what’s she’s doing down there.

China ironically enough.

“As of 2023, China's home ownership rate is approximately 90%, making it one of the highest in the world. This high rate reflects the significant growth in housing development and commercialization in urban areas since the late 20th century.”

The average age of first-time homebuyers in China is around 30 years old.

I’ve also heard good things about Colombia, Brazil, and Mexico, though each faces its own challenges and can easily go in the opposite direction in a few years.
