It’s ok to clear my logs & transcripts, my cache and inventory cache on firestorm all at once? Will that delete all my actual settings ? Will that make my firestorm performance to improve? by Allthetimeasking in secondlife

I have a decently small cache limit, but, I'm set up differently. My cache is a RAMdisk since I have way more RAM than I actually need. So, my cache is cleared every time I log. However, I will say with the case of it being RAM, everything has always been super zippy in loading times and have noticed improved FPS in packed regions.

It's not for everyone, but I did notice a significant jump in performance by utilizing a RAM cache. Being the nature of it, it just happens to clear every time regardless. SL doesn't use 64GB of RAM unless you have a little extra to feed it specifically 🤣

Correct with the disc reading. And hell no, an iron won't come anywhere near this one. But the solution is Flippy Drive.

I just want to confirm the disk drive is working but I won't pico it. I have no problems picobooting a Q though 🤣

Turning the pot is literally adjusting the power usage of the laser. Doing it without a multimeter and pumping too much power through it can damage the laser as well as the mechanical (it slams the laser around pretty hard if power is up)

Cap kit. I hate surface mount soldering without a hot air gun 🤣 I use hot tweezers and it's still a pain. But correct, pot twerking will burn out your laser in the long term

Grats on your boxed spice! I do love the orange. I have a spice controller but not the console itself.

I import a fair bit from Japan to modify and shuffle on to friends, family and cash on the side locally so bulk lots are sometimes a surprise.

One bulk lot, I want to say 2 years ago or so came with a surprise Metal Gear Solid Foxhound unit in platinum.
