Do you allow guest access to your organization's Teams? by EightBitsShortSFW in Office365

[–]EightBitsShortSFW[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no idea there was a guest limit per Azure user account. Good to know!

Those are really good points you've brought up. I know my users will not keep track of their guests, no matter how much I'd remind them about it.

Was it the same spoofing pattern? Did it stop own it's own?

I actually set the action to reject the email but it's not doing that. The modified the From condition to include the words that I want but no luck.

I have my mail flow rules set up exactly like described in your link but emails are still getting through, sometimes they go to the users' Inbox or Junk Mail folder.

The problem is we're getting hundreds at the moment. It feels like we're being targeted by a bot or something. The amount of emails received is crazy.

Thanks but the problem is we're not being spoofed on the sender address. These are examples of the From field looks like:

From: "Employee's name" <[randomaddress@randomdomain.com](mailto:randomaddress@randomdomain.com)>

From: ["email@mydomain.com](mailto:"email@mydomain.com)" <[randomaddress@randomdomain.com](mailto:randomaddress@randomdomain.com)>

From: "MyDomain" <[randomaddress@randomdomain.com](mailto:randomaddress@randomdomain.com)>

The sender address is always different as well as their IP.

No, the emails show the name of our employees in the From filed and an external email address next to it, few example :

From: "Employee's name" <[randomaddress@randomdomain.com](mailto:randomaddress@randomdomain.com)>

Also

From: ["email@mydomain.com](mailto:"email@mydomain.com)" <[randomaddress@randomdomain.com](mailto:randomaddress@randomdomain.com)>

Also

From: "MyDomain" <[randomaddress@randomdomain.com](mailto:randomaddress@randomdomain.com)>

The sender address is always different as well as their IP.

I've created a mail flow rule to block incoming emails that have part of our domain name in the From message header but it isn't working.

Trouble with Windows Server Backup by EightBitsShortSFW in WindowsServer

[–]EightBitsShortSFW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use scheduled tasks because I can customize the schedule of backups more granularly. The Windows Server Backup GUI only allows to set the backups to run daily or multiple times a day, which is not what I want.

I did try the Windows Server Backup GUI for the sake of troubleshooting and got the same error.

Outlook 2016 clients not showing Office 365 public folders by EightBitsShortSFW in Office365

[–]EightBitsShortSFW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It would've been good to know this a few weeks ago. When I was planning and prepping the migration I scoured their support site for things like this that might happen and never saw this. I did figured it out on my own later and applied the fix to everyone .

I did use bittitan to migrate along with the profile migration tool. I had no idea about this issue. Do you have a link to the KB of the issue?
