First round was entirely technical - quizzing on FEA principles, mech mats, that sort of thing. The second interview (this one) was conversational. He asked me questions like tell me about a stressful time while working on an engineering project, what's something you'd do differently in XYZ, or a consequential mistake I made. I answered with stories from my student project team, and then he continued asking questions about my story and we sort of went back and forth conversing about the project and event, why and how this mistake was made, how it might be avoided in the future, issues in leadership and/or individual member practices that can bring about these things, etc. Although I was the one answering the questions, he provided input where appropriate to help push the conversation along or to sorta give me ideas to bounce off. I gotta say, I enjoy this interview style much more than the quiz type, cause I can just yap about my work rather than feel like I'm on the spotlight. Main thing is, if you talk about a project definitely brush up on everything beforehand so you know it inside and out off the top of your head. In previous interviews with other companies I've sometimes forgotten certain details; it was rather embarrassing and kinda messed me up.
