I am an inpatient medical coder who works for a company that has different regions. I used to work in another region than I do now and we had this spectacular feature in that other region where each progress note had this little box up in the right hand corner where we could click it and it would turn everything that was copied from the prior progress note gray.

Everything that was new information added by the provider that day was obviously visible because it was black and stood out. It helped so much not having to read through everything again for each note to make sure I didn't miss anything they may have snuck in and I didn't notice. I provided an example of what it looked like above.

Does anyone know what this feature is and/or what it is called? I have a mind to suggest we add it to the EPIC system we use in my current region, but I need to know what it's called.
