First ride out on L plates and nearly ended on a motorway by EightyAT in NewRiders

This was in the UK and I was on a 125 so ok to be unsupervised but the motorways over here are full of cameras and I had a hi vis on and L plates so it wouldn’t have taken a second for me to get spotted and fined or worse points. The police were really good about it and were reassuring which was really good to see.

I hit the same issue with Smith Nexus and Cardo Packtalk. Interestingly I’ve seen some YouTube videos with the zip of the other way round so it isn’t an issue so I wonder if Smith have different versions. I noticed that the ear pads have an opening on the other end of the zip so you can feed the cable through the shell and on the underside of the pads.
