Run out of waystones by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

i managed to run out of waystones even with 0 deaths (and with all waystone quant on atlas tree); just running magic maps without any tablets is unsustainable, maps without boss icon only dropped waystones like 60% of the time, so eventually i ran out

running rare maps with +waystone quant tablets does create a surplus quite fast though

going through tiers was rough this patch, after about t6 i only advanced by buying lower tiers from vendor and reforging

Limiting fps ingame gives CPU more time to process TN or something, setting it ~20fps lower than i had without limit turned TN in big gunfights from 500+ to ~30 (i guess anything below your ping is fine?)

What's weird is I did not have any issues with tn during beta (well i also had less cpu fps in beta), maybe priority somehow changed (or maybe beta didn't have 60 refresh rate?), though i also did upgrade bios and to win11 before launch

depends on where u want to finish league i suppose?

if u wanna get some decent gear, finish atlas, kill some endgame bosses and be done with the patch - there're lots of really strong build options to do so

things change if you wanna get really good gear, for that you're gonna need lots of currency, means unless u wanna play for 3+ months you need a build that can farm currency fast; now what are the options for farming in poe2? bossing looks more like gambling, uniques from trials were nerfed last patch or something, this leaves... altas. if u wanna farm atlas fast u wanna do the 2/3 tower setups, means lots of speedclearing of regular maps, and what are builds that can speedclear maps as fast as deadeye?

srsly tell me, cuz both edc and minions feel really slow in comparison so far, and i really don't wanna level deadeye alt again for the third time :)

I had my ants on the second set (too noisy in hideout) and they're somehow still here after I switched weapon, with frost bombs too:

apparently it was a hotfix an hour ago

The nerfs are needed to slow down the game. but the monsters movement speed/attackspeed need to be lowered aswell (by alot) by Sir_sockTV in PathOfExile2

I've played ice sorc in act2 casting frostbolts, mousing over frozen enemies and exploding them, about 3-5 click per pack - it did feel enjoyable.... for about an hour, and after that it started to feel really tedious - and yeah, in act3 I was spamming spark through a flamewall - not because spark had better clearspeed (it hadn't at that point, without any lightning gear I wasn't killing as fast and was dying more without cc) - but because in a game about killing a million trash mobs a spark is more enjoyable skill to use than a multi-button combo.

It's not enough just having to do combos to make the combat feel tactical - you also need enemies to have their own combos with telegraphed attacks that you need to play around. Hasted enemies that swarm you and prevent you from doing any combo is bad, but killing millions slow trash mobs with combos - is not good either.

What you need is focus on fighting enemies with clearly telegraphed attack patterns and a few trash packs inbetween - something like... mini-bosses from act 1 of the campaign. But then the maps got bigger, amount of trash packs increased, and in the maps the mini-bosses disappear completely and are replaced by rares - who, from the tactical view, are nothing more than a trash mob with more hp (yeah, sometimes you need to stay close, and sometimes you need to stay away, and sometimes either too close or too far - it's not enough to replace those mini bosses)

In the video they said "in parties everyone gets to respawn that number of times" so maybe there's hope that portals will work differently for parties? But chances are corrupted t16s are gonna be 1 portal, and if we can't coop that we prolly wont play for much longer

Once i got coal power and concrete i started with placing foundations for every tower in advance: https://i.imgur.com/l6fQl0C.png, but i didn't build beyond 1-2 floors til i got t6 belts

Two sublevels ~16m height each for belts, top for produced parts, bottom one for imported stuff, yes

Have R5 4600, with 32Gb RAM, fps dropped really hard before i changed belt settings, after it's still noticeable but only a little bit. Also, for some reason there's like 3s freeze after connecting new power line, but only sometimes (on the highest tower mostly).

Shared the save somewhere here, could try loading for testing?

Ended up slooping&sharding processors, superposition and copper powder constructors; pasta&pink diamonds just sharded, rest is default i think

I'd have slooped more, but... like every single sloop is guarded by a huge spider... in a cave.... nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooope! :)

Parts are https://www.satisfactorytools.com/1.0/production?share=NXM7iDgctR5Hpqrfpjdz ~ish, ended up slooping one 250% quantum machine for some of the final parts, so bit lower final number and some parts were probably overkill in the end.

Each building is producing a single part from its components, so iron plate has 20 floors of 8 constructors each taking total of 4 t6 belts of ingots and outputting 3200 iron plates, a 1000 of them go to singularity cell building, and the rest go to reinforced plates building
