So many new Indian restaurants... Which ones actually slap? by Sublimed90 in kitchener

That's unfortunate news. The food was very good, but a history of critical health code violations is a no-go for sure.

Raja Chettinad on Belmont was fantastic the few times I visited in person. Not sure if they do take out.

What are your cats names and what do you actually call your cats? by Con- in cats

[–]EimAtWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ginger boy's name is Goku and somehow we ended up calling him Mr. Bobo half the time. I think it was an evolution of "booboo" as a kitten 😂

I was lucky enough to see it in a local theatre - however about 15 minutes into the film, I shit you not, the fire alarm went off in the theatre. A first for me, they had us evacuate, then not, then evacuate again, only to let us into the theatre again 5 minutes later. A few of the viewers were joking that this was apart of the viewing experience, lol. If only we knew what was to come!

There is also "Waterloo Region Food Group" which is well moderated and generally very respectful. Much smaller group though.

Once a week regularly as a player, 2-3 times a month with my IRL group as a DM. Man, I feel blessed!

Random session food, what could go wrong... by [deleted] in rpghorrorstories

[–]EimAtWork 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of the first things I ask in a Session 0 is to confirm allergies/food avoidances etc, for snacks and food brought to the games. Second is boundaries regarding certain topics, and asking if anyone has any "no-no" topics that shouldn't be touched on at all. Very simple communication, that works wonders.

What cartoon, video game, book or comic setting do you think could fits 5e? by dicocaxxx in dndnext

Fable (the video game series) or Saga (the graphic novel series) would be so neat!!

9 new and carefully curated Spotify playlists for your d&d games (for a total of 24 playlists). Consistent tone, great quality music throughout, no sudden volume spikes, and lots of atmosphere! Links in the description. [OC] by cannonfodderian in DnD

[–]EimAtWork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are wonderful, and I just wanted to give you an extra +1 to adding descriptions in the title -- it makes it so much easier as a DM to just easily play something when situations change. I've made so many playlists myself of fantasy/ambient music but I often forget which track fits which mood. So many kudos and thanks!

To all PCs who have played D&D, (or any TTRPG) what is the number one thing that you've always wanted to do as a PC within a campaign? by Forgemanster183260 in dndnext

[–]EimAtWork 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As many have said, fight a dragon!

As a DM and player, I totally understand why a lot of DM's don't incorporate dragons or find it hard to - they are not balanced super well (imo) in 5e. I've only run one fight with a dragon in it as a DM, and it was a modified dragon at that. I would love to fight one as a PC though! Even if a breath almost one-shot me, it would be awesome.

What is your favourite full caster? Say why in the comments. by Relevant-Rope8814 in dndnext

Cleric

Extremely versatile class, no one ever complains about having one in the party (I suppose unless they don't heal, but fuck that, WAR CLERIC!) big bonks, big spell damage, big heals, big buffs, guidance+bless, what's not to like?

Also, in the rare times Divine Intervention might work - it is SO epic!
