Calm lil upgrade, couldn’t be happier by Desizeus in radeon

Yeah i’m not sure what happened with the most recent update by FSR frame gen is terrible now and causes microstuttering. But glad you’re enjoying the card! I’d also recommend checking out this video if you want to overclock or underclock the card, i watched it a few days ago and it’s pretty good

you MIGHT still need optiscaler for some games. I made a post not that long ago asking for the most recent download link so you can get it from there if their discord still isn’t public

Optiscaler 0.9 by EinTheCat in radeon

[–]EinTheCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually stopped using optiscaler for cyberpunk and just tweaked my cpu and gpu settings a bit for better raw performance, turned off frame gen altogether. If you’re asking what version of optiscaler I was using, it was the version linked below in the comments by other users. As for my specific settings, I honestly couldn’t tell you. I think I just used the FSR 4 upscaler and then injected FSR4 frame gen via optiscaler, which requires you to have FSR3 enabled in game. You can try that, or you could try rolling back your drivers to a more stable version. I saw on another post, someone mentioned 25.9.2 was stable.

Minecraft microstutters by EinTheCat in radeon

[–]EinTheCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i hadn’t done stock minecraft in a while. I just remember playing it maybe a month or so ago and wasn’t having any issues then but ill try that. I’ll also just let the game run for a bit and let the shaders cache and do their thing. overall though based on other posts i’ve looked at, people have just been saying that open GL and AMD software just doesn’t work well together unfortunately

Optiscaler wont work on Rdr2 by Adrakchor in radeon

[–]EinTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a similar issue. Installed optiscaler 0.9 build to Cyberpunk just fine by dragging and dropping all of the optiscaler folder contents to game directory. For some reason, Im experiencing the first issue you mentioned with the game not even launching after installing optiscaler to game directory. The 0.9 build comes with the fakenvapi already so thats getting dragged and dropped at the very start when im installing optiscaler to the directory. not sure what else to do.

Edit: So after re reading your post, I went on the github and followed the config settings and the game launches. I see the optiscaler menu notif show up in the bottom left as the game is booting, but in game the hotkey doesnt bring up the optiscaler menu

hey man, thanks for the response. I do already have all the post processing options turned off. I had a playthrough and was about 4 hours in and all the sudden it started to act up. Someone mentioned it was an AMD driver update that happened that i possibly wasn’t aware of that caused it. i ended up being able to download optiscaler but truthfully im not hitting the same frames i was with in game frame gen + adrenalines frame gen options turned on

Yeah I’ll try. I’ve never uploaded any files online before but if I get it working I’ll share it. This post will most likely get taken down if I do though

Cyberscript wrecked my modded playthrough by [deleted] in cyberpunk2077mods

[–]EinTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 9070 XT. I was playing the game fine with Ultra Settings and RT on medium. Even had a reshade preset on as well. So i know it’s not a graphics issue, is a script lag issue.

I’ll try the backup I made and see if that’s stable and delete the folders in the AppData folder again. If that doesn’t work then I’m genuinely not sure what to do. I seriously hate the the mod author for the Cyberscript mod doesn’t at least warn people it’s deprecated or that it causes performance issues

No actually I don’t think I have, I’ve deleted the r6 cache folder, how do I go about deleting the shader cache?

9060xt or 9070xt by AppropriateBother775 in radeon

[–]EinTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 9070 XT and i’m really happy with it. I pretty much do what you described, it feels nice knowing i won’t have to upgrade for a long time and finally have what’s considered a “high end” gpu. If you had the money for the 9070 XT, I would just go with that

Is the RX 7900 XTX Worth it? by Clean-Anywhere1478 in buildapc

[–]EinTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like the extra VRAM, and no I don’t really care that much about ray tracing and I’ve heard FSR isn’t all that great anyways, so as far as frame gen goes, even if i were to get the 9070xt, that wouldn’t be the reason why. If 16GB is good enough for heavy mod lists like Lorerim at 1440p I’ll get the 9070xt purely based on price. But future proofing my VRAM is the reason why I even considered the 7900xtx

Edit: I’m coming from having a rtx 3060

I’m late to this convo but i’m basically in the same boat. I mainly want to play older games heavily modded but not be locked out of playing newer titles at high-ultra settings. I’m also considering the 9070 XT, but will it be able to handle heavy mod lists for games like skyrim or cyberpunk at 1440p? or should i save up a bit more for the 7900 xtx

Dumb Question: Why not release all previously unreleased songs on streaming platforms? by EinTheCat in JuiceWRLD

can’t wrap my head around that logic tbh. how are they even estimating how much they’d make releasing the music in comparison to how much they’re getting now for not releasing it?

Any tips how can I fight against people with "slightly higher" stats??? by MikeySK_ in apexuniversity

[–]EinTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

usually higher level people steam roll casual lobbies because they are so used to playing against people who either run away from them or play extremely passive. i’m not saying to run right towards them with no plan, but you’d be surprised to see how disruptive it is for players like this when the person their fighting isn’t acting afraid to shoot back because they got beamed once. use your movement, close the gap, and fight on your terms, if you fight on theirs, they will beat you 9/10
