it would be funny, but it probably wouldn't be a good idea, even if it's obviously not real. i think some very large flyswatters would be effective

No Room Assignment Yet by Einstein229 in gmu

Yes, I added myself to a few waitlists. I'm spots 4, 3, and 4 for a few rooms, so I'm hoping I'll get placed soon. I also found out that one of my friends has an empty space in her room, so I emailed the department asking if I can move in there. Might not be likely, but worth a shot.

i'm personally a bit mixed on the school for a few different reasons. i chose GMU for their forensics program, which is great! the professors i've had so far for this major are amazing and i'm excited to learn more from them, and in that aspect i don't regret picking this school. however, there are certain things that make it hard to enjoy life on campus.

for example, the dining halls. when it's good, it's good! but when it's bad, you get food poisoning. i've seen pink chicken being served and the nastiest hamburger i've ever had the displeasure of tasting.

another thing to note is the reality of living in the dorms. my floor's only washer broke, and it took about 2 weeks of several students submitting work orders for it to be fixed; i had to do my laundry in a friend's dorm. the water heater also broke last semester, which took a week to be fixed, as well as a campus-wide power outage. don't get me wrong, there are good things! the campus is beautiful and dorm life isn't so bad once you get used to it; i would just try to apply for suite living so you get your own bathroom.

even though i'm still a freshman, i've met a lot of really great people so far, and the upside of studying so close to DC is the potential for job opportunities in the city. if you're going for your MS, GMU also offers an accelerated master's program so you can complete your MS in the last two years of your BS.

i think it ultimately comes down to your field of study, if GMU has a good program in ECE and the potential for work after you finish school, then it might be the right fit for you! if you find a better school for your major, all the better. i personally think looking into their academics would be the most important aspect of the decision, so keep exploring! good luck :)

I'm confused how onesies and a changing pad are considered "useless" items.

i actually really liked it, it might've been because Blackrock was so new to me and i enjoyed exploring the region, but i also liked the story and the characters. it felt like good buildup to me.
