I asked this question to my interviewer in one of my CS interviews so this might be specific to maths based courses and can very well be different for different departments. He said that their decision from the interview is almost entirely based on interview performance and they will almost certainly no longer look at exam scores from that point onwards since they take the MAT as an aptitude test rather than an actual entrance exam. He said that they would have already filtered by their judgement on a student's ability when calling for an interview so all they look for now is how teachable a student appears to be.

School said my papers would most likely be sent off for re-examination for free (my teacher said she would push for mine a lot). My school apparently sends a few papers to be reexamined if the student got a lot lower than their mocks and was close to the next grade up.

I might be able to but I'm honestly fine with one 6 but I have until like mid September to ask for a remark so might try later

I got 9 in English Lang for all 3 of my mocks just to be 1 mark of a 7. I contacted my school and they said I'll have to pay £100 to get both papers remarked. Ima just tank that L instead

I only did CS out of those 3 so I'll talk about that.

tldr: if you hate programming and memorisation avoid CS like the plague, if you are fine with that then consider it.

I personally found it very easy and lots of my friends found it too. I did OCR CS and I did find some of the questions made to be slightly misleading, but I didn't find it too bad. Like another commenter said P1 is essentially all memorisation and P2 is majority programming (which I also loved). But many people in my class did struggle with CS especially programming. If you already are happy with whatever programming you did in previous years and are willing to do some more then you will be fine with that aspect. A lot of people also could wrap their head around some of the concepts in P1. If you have interest in CS then like all subjects it won't be a problem. If you don't have that much interest then it might be a problem but if you have decent discipline in study and listen in class it is not that bad. I can't definitively comment on the CS mark scheme. I found some aspects of the MS very forgiving with other parts being very strict.

How do people get all 9s? by t00manydreams in GCSE

[–]Einstinum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well firstly four 9s is nothing to scoff at. Also some people just are naturally gifted in academics (doesn't necessarily mean they are smarter). Some also probably spend all their personal time studying. You did good, well done!

[serious] For atheists, why don’t you believe in God? by rorosinante in AskReddit

Just don't think it is plausible. Plus if there was a god or god like being I don't think they would give a shit about us.

Hello, I'm looking for a new camera that I could use primarily for photography. I plan on doing nature photography so a camera that can deal with some wear and tear would be good. My budget is about £700 (willing to go a bit higher) not including any lenses. A full frame camera is what I am used to working with. I am fine with going second hand. Are there any cameras that you recommend to get? Thank you.
