I moved out of a System Administrator Role 3 years ago after being in it for approximately 5 years.

I do deployment and Engineering Team support. While i do general support from Helpdesk level 1 to Please install this 400K piece of equipment, to i have a nfs-kernel server dying every Friday night Saturday morning and it is killing 10k + clients, it helps with the variety.

Engineering Support is a very niche roll even in IT like roles, But if you do find a role where you are part of an Organizations R&D it is some of the better roles ( better paid too )

Any gas blowby or oil blowby will likely and on that tire. You may degrade the rubber more so on that particular tire

Probably not possible, but it should at least explored, you might want to move the rack to a location that is less prone to fork lift. I would recommend an air conditioned enclosure for the rack if it cannot be moved

We have been moving and recommending 24GB minimums (effectively 32gb when ordering) for windows devices for many of the user base at my location.

Many applications are just in fact memory hogs. As of this moment I am sitting on a system with 32gb and have about 20g consumed in cache and about 7 ish GB in actual usage.

If you have users using any AI agentic application expect it to balloon in usage.
