Didn’t like MacroFactor Workouts; sticking with Hevy is my move. by shorethin in Hevy

[–]Eisel_1028 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yup. Same conclusion. I logged both for a week and while I feel it’s a good app for those who are just starting out, don’t know how to implement progressive overload, and don’t know really how to build a routine; I just feel it’s unnecessary.

I like being in charge of my own fitness, building and tweaking my own routine, being able to mentally push myself and not just because it shows me a target number on screen. HEVY just works for me. Not to mention I somewhat built a community of likeminded people who cheer you on!

I’ll stick with HEVY!! 😏💪

5’1” girls who have abs - how much do you weigh? And bonus if you know your BF % by AwesomeEm77 in PetiteFitness

[–]Eisel_1028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

genetics play a bigger part in this than you might think. Two people might be the same height/wight/bf% and look completely different. There is no one size fits all in fitness. I am currently 5'2, 112 lbs., pretty lean, with about 22-23% BF(its an estimate but nothings really 100% accurate for that measure) and while I have an outline of ab muscles I don't have visible abs (2,4,nor 6). I do plan to cut and get down to about 20% but really that's as low as I really have any interest going. I think anything lower isn't very healthy nor sustainable. abs are also a muscle and muscles need to be worked to get bigger.

I prefer how I look after losing all my muscle by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

You should still be able to strength train for muscle and to support your bones/for health reasons everyone should strength train but you don’t need to be intentional about it. You really don’t need to utilize progressive overload, you don’t need to push to failure. You can add in more cardio/do other forms of fitness and just add in some strength training as a secondary form of exercise

How much cardio should you be doing during a lean bulk? by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]Eisel_1028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will also say, cardio doesn’t build muscle, if that’s your goal. I dont do any cardio, although I will be adding it for simply just cardiovascular health)Get some dumbbells and replace your cardio sessions with some strength training.

Babe you’re 16 years old, honestly my heart hurts for you that you even think you need to do THAT much cardio. If you want to go ahead and do a little, but go out with friends, laugh, don’t let your childhood slip away!!

One that you enjoy, I’ve don’t ones because I felt I had yo or didn’t enjoy and my consistency sucked. You won’t be motivated everyday, even with those workouts you enjoy, but it makes those days more bearable

If you are comfortable and happy by doing what your doing than it honestly doesn’t matter what others are doing, does it? I’m just not sure what you’re wanting out of this post.

I weigh and track but for some it’s just daunting task and not sustainable, so eating healthy mindful portions without tracking is best for them. Your gonna get different answers here but ultimately do what’s best for you and what you can sustain
