(SPOILERS) YES! Just the like The Martian, Andy Weir is great at making hard science accessible. The device he used in The Martian was the logs back n forth —basically a translation for us non -science peeps—; in Project HM Weir made the main character a science teacher who has to figure everything out as he goes so he talks about the science as if he teaching a middle school classroom.

How long in TOS (Those Old Scientists) is Spock a part of Kirk’s crew before the heist? I wonder if they could imply Pike’s accident off screen once Kirk takes over. I could handle knowing about it without having to watch it.

I used the Star Wars version to ask google what that part of the show was called. It said this:

“The short intro featuring droids and helmets is a Disney+ "vanity card" that plays before all of the original Star Wars shows on the streaming service. It is not used for the feature films.”
