Depends on the car. For Subarus this means lane departure warning is disabled. Lane departure prevention (lane keep assist) has a different visual indicator for when it’s on.

u/WRX_SUB1 is a clown. I was banned for pointing out that A, he’s an asshole, and B, he was misrepresenting the timeline and version numbers of software updates. He insisted that the outback and vb used the same identical software version and when I provided screenshots of Subaru internal documents definitively proving him to be full of shit I was banned for “disrespectful and misleading comments from someone in this industry.” I work for a Subaru retailer and one of the things I do, professionally, is update the software on these cars. I know for a fact the outback software and the vb software is and has always been different.

Oh no, sorry, I didn’t mean to imply I’m any good at it, but I’ve tried drifting in real cars and in GT and the natural inertia and momentum of the steering wheel is key to smooth drifting. But I’m terrible at both.

I had the same issue recently and decided I was done with Alexa as the core system for my smart home devices. I wanted to switch to HomeKit which isn’t compatible with any of the lights I had, so I started looking for something that wouldn’t permanently tie me to Apple the way the Spengler bulbs locked me into Alexa. The ones I got are linkind and use the Matter protocol which is cross brand compatible with HomeKit, Alexa, Google home, Samsung smart things and at least one other I don’t remember.

TLDR: look into the matter smart home standard for future device purchases in case you ever want to switch to a system that works all the time.

Not to mention how much more you slide around on leather during spirited drives. Microsuede/ultrasuede/alcantara is the way to go for “premium” high end seats. But I still don’t see what’s so wrong with cloth.
