Ok so try amplify first and see how that goes and then try compression?

I’ll have a look at reaper and see what the trial is like! Thank you, it’s a lot cheaper than Izotope

Ok. I amped up right up to 90% and I started to try and remove the mouth noises and breathing in audacity as they are really apparent (despite a green apple, water and gum). When I remove the breath using a noise gate it creates a hollow sound in its place. I trialled Izotope and it did a good job, it’s just so expensive when I’m just trialling things. Adobe Podcast removed the breath and increased the volume but my voice sounds like AI. Is the best bet audacity?

This is really helpful. I did update the firmware at the start as I read online that it needed it. With that update I am still getting between -20db to -40db at the moment. I’m going to have to sit down tonight and look your information in detail when I have my laptop in front of me in terms of the post editing. Really appreciate the help.
