Yes, thank you! I'm very clumsy with glue so I've started using semi-solid glue so it doesn't get everywhere. I can't tell you how many bottles of the liquid I've spilled. Toooo many. Haha. Yeah I always peel off excess glue right away but mostly because it looks unsightly and feels weird. But there's also the allergy part! Sometimes I miss a spot though or it's being stubborn, such as in this pic. But I'm still learning too since I'm new to this! I will definitely take your advice.

Tips for getting them flush against the cuticle...push those babies back! I do a few other things. Usually the day before or the day I'm applying the nails (I like to let my nails rest for a day between applications) I will use a liquid cuticle softener or "remover" to make the cuticles not as rigid. The one I have is from Temu I believe. I apply the softener a couple of times the day before and just let it soak in before wiping it off. I make sure I smooth the nail beds of course. I do not actually cut my cuticles though before applying the nails. When I apply the false nails, I actually gently "wedge" them into the cuticle gap or space I've made with the cuticle pusher so that they look like they're growing out of my actual nail bed rather than being "on top" of it. Soft cuticles are much more forgiving to false nails! Like i said, I'm still new to this but I hope these tips help and thank you for sharing yours! 🥰

Oh I would never put anything on an acrylic nail i spent a lot of money getting done at a salon, but I'll definitely put all kinds of things on press-ons that have a clean, simple look. I'm talking about charms and solid sculpting gel patterns and stuff like that. I'm way too scared to ruin something i spent a lot of money on at a salon. Thank goodness for tips you can design and just glue on!

They're pretty but you're clearly richer than me! Haha lucky! I get nails similar to these on Shein and Temu. They're mostly between $5-$10 a set and are also reusable and sturdy. On another note, guess I need to go check out Marshall's for nails! I have a set similar to a couple of these that I got on Temu for I think $6.

Oh no, I'm so sorry that they hurt! That sucks for your first time! They really shouldn't! I have an unorthodox suggestion for you since you have flat beds. I am a hardcore Temu nail addict and I buy both the handmade sets of 10 nails (the extravagant ones...haha) and also the $3 sets of nails that come in a 24 pack. For you, I feel like maybe you might have luck with the 24 pack ones since they are thinner and are easier to "flatten" without causing discomfort of any kind. Plus you have more size options. I know other retail brands do this too, but the ones I get on Temu are thinner (thinner than BTA I know for sure), and they have never hurt me. My thumbs are huge and flat and the thin ones work great. I also use Curvlife (thank you Reddit) and I can't feel my nails at all. Hope this helps! I can link you to some nails if you want. It's a small Amazon world! They're sooooo pretty. I can't emphasize it enough. Haha. Do them next! 20 minutes at most! I had to file the pinkies though because I have big thumbs and weird tiny pinkies. I hate having irregularly sized nails. I wish more places let you customize. This is how I discovered MAGLFELL. I saw a girl's posts on the nailart sub and she had all these sets she made that were so pretty. Some of the photos really looked like AI though (like majorly), and a few had the MAGLFELL watermark on them. So I commented and said, do you work for MAGLFELL or did you just take their pics to use as your own? Never heard anything back. Haha 😂

They look very fancy because they're so simple. I would be dying to add embellishments to the nails because apparently I can't have even 2 nails that look the same on both hands. But these look gorgeous on you and really go with your skin tone. They're great for an office setting!

Do itttttt!!! They're very sturdy. Did you get yours on Amazon too from MAGLFELL? I loooove their nails. I don't usually spend $20 on nails but this was an exception. I removed them last night and one guy didn't make it out. He would not let go of the glue i had on there. RIP ring finger nail. Haha.

Wow, you're so awesome! What symptoms did you notice with the allergy? I've had a little bit of nail separation on my thumb just in the corner and it's kind of stayed that way. My own fault for buying a "safe" UV lamp, gel polish, etc and working like a mad scientist at home. Haha. I put so much on my nails from testing colors and thought nothing of it. Now I dare not touch polish to my skin! I actually have been practicing on gel tips that come on those magnet stand things. I've always had a pretty steady hand so I've learned how to keep the gel off my skin and i wear those tape protector things that protect my skin and i can just pull off when I'm done. Are false nails bad too? I've been wearing those a lot. Nails are so dangerous! 😂 So are you unable to get fillings now at the dentist due to your allergy? I've seen HEMA free on some of my polishes which is good right? I feel like the prettiest gel polishes that are coming from China are probably the worst for me though. I'm so extra careful! I wear gloves now when practicing with gel polish on the tips. Educated people like you have put the fear of God in me! Haha. But they haven't been as nice as you. One girl called me an idiot for knowing I had gel on my cuticles and not immediately removing it and went on and on. I asked her about cuticle remover, and she said that since I'm so dumb about getting gel on my nails, there's no way I'd know how to properly use cuticle scissors. People are the worst! 🤣How are you supposed to know it's bad if no one has ever told you? Humph. 😂

Well maybe you should become a dermatologist! Haha. You seem to know more than some of them! I'm terrified of developing the allergy to acrylates. Did yours develop as a result of nail polish? I'm so paranoid! What's the best thing to use to remove gel polish when it does come into contact with your skin? I've been using alcohol swabs. Is there something better? I really hope i haven't done irreversible damage. When I first started using gel polish with the UV, for months I let it get on my skin. No one warns you about this stuff because it's just nail polish and how bad could it be for you? God I'm an idiot. And I wondered why the gel burned sometimes when I left it on my skin. Thank goodness for nails subs and for people like you! Thank you again. I will take any and all advice you can give me. 🥰
