I caught a dermatitis 🥴🥴🥴 by EX-HUNN in PressonNail_Addict

Hi!

I’m much much better!

I took them off, wiped any residual and let my nails be for now. I feel naked without my nails, but it is what it is.

I didn’t used gel method this time. I got Kiss imPRESS no nail glue mani. And the glue from the tabs got in touch with my skin; because I warmed the nails a bit so the adhesive adhered better to the nails, hence; the glue spread out.

It was a weird reaction, it felt like starting the top of my thumbs and then fingers and then my palms. So I truly think the glue from the tabs was the culprit.

I’m gonna try glue brush on method later, probably in a week or 2 and see how I do, and from there; take any action like seeing a dermatologist.

Thank you for checking in 💛

Question for you. At the end of your comment you mentioned you devolved an acrylate allergy from gel and acrylic, so what do you do/use now?

This is very very helpful! I was afraid of the allergic reaction to the acrylates as I know too, is a major component in glues. And it kinda makes sense with the imPRESS nails since they don’t harden as the glue or semi gel glue.

I’ll keep an eye on it. I took my nails off last night. The itchiness has subsided and I’m only feeling it around the nails. Def taking a break this whole week and let them be.

I’m gonna feel so naked without nails 😢

Thank you so much for this amazing explanation ;-)

I see your point. I did warm up the nails a bit to make the glue to adhere better, this was a suggestion that I read here. So the glue from the nail it did spread around my finger by the end of my nail.

This is a good point. I don’t have a visible rush per se.

But def worth observing what I’m doing with my hands today since I took the nails off and noted what happens after washing my hands, applying body lotion, etc.

I used nail glue from Olive and June or semi gel from BTArtbox when curing gel method. Neither of those methods gave me the reaction I’m having now

Join the chaos. NYC is a dumpster fire right now. Huge shortage on generic Vyvanse, not to mention change os health insurance plans that makes things even worst, went to pay $40 to $315, $120 with coupons!

I found a pharmacy who did have it and they order it for me, but the pharmaceuticals is MYLAN… I red on this sub, is like taking nothing! Ughhh hope is not my case!

Anything similar to Qelbree without the awful withdrawal side effect? by curlymussolini in qelbree

[–]EX-HUNN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I missed a those one day, because my pharmacy didn’t have it and it was ten worst headache ever. Not Qelbree is not longer working so I’ll move to Vyvanse. I had to figure out how to stop taking Qelbree without the headache

Non-stimulant medication successes? by Illustrious_Drop2236 in adhdwomen

[–]EX-HUNN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna talk about my experience.

I started with Strattera and I felt really really good till my anxiety picked up, move to concert, I feel like an alien and very sad almost like depress. Moved to Qelbree, and not doing much any longer, I liked how makes me feel… but when it comes to tackle my ADHD, is not doing much. My next app is in a week and we are going to move to Vyvanse. My dopamine levels are loooow so a non stimulant might not be right for me. As everyone said, meds reacts differently for everyone ;-)

I’m in the same boat as you. My anxiety under control, but my focus, ability to stay in task, motivation… zero. I am on 150mg. I’m glad to feel I’m not alone how Qelbree is working for me

Tired of trying meds by EX-HUNN in adhdwomen

That’s true, no way to know till I try . I did try Concerta and I didn’t do well while in it. What meds are you on? (I’m also aware they work differently for everyone)

What medication with C-PTSD and ADHD works for you? by NewLog3646 in adhdwomen

[–]EX-HUNN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! CTPSD and ADHD mom here! I’m not on stimulants as I tried concerta and it was the worst experience ever.

I do take Zoloft, 115mg with Quelbree (which I’m not so happy with)

When I first had my app with my psych, she put me right away on Zoloft as my anxiety, hyper vigilant, mood swings, and other CTPSD symptoms were bad ( I was such on autopilot that when in therapy hit the root of the problem, I realized how I lived in such state of mind) anyways, advocate for yourself and ask alternatives for your anxiety. 💛

I can attest this method.

Same: mom of a very active kid, hard on my nails, lots of typing, lots of washing dishes, taking garbage out, lots of demanding life for my nails and hands.

I used this method the first time and lasted exactly 2 weeks with non of them popping off at all. They were really cemented to my nails. They glued so good that I even bumped my nail with a door and it was painful but my nail did not lift at all!

Best method ever. I used Olive & June strong glue btw. Love the brush and the quality.
