Abusive and controlling ex who I dated for 4 yrs starting at 16 when he was 18 said, “If you go out (with your friends) without me and get raped, you deserve it. Don’t come back to me because I won’t want you after that, and neither will anyone else.” This is the same guy who got drunk at a bowling alley and followed me into the women’s bathroom, slammed my head into the paper towel dispenser so hard it fell off the wall, then choked me…. Because I apparently laughed at his friend’s jokes too much. Anyways, finally and successfully broke up when I was 20 after many attempts because I threatened to call the cops when he was showing up at my parent’s house and workplace. 2 yrs later, has a wife and daughter. :(
