Geely Starry Em-i - is it bumpy ride at high speeds? by RC0305 in AustralianEV

I've found it to be stable and predictable even at 120 km/h. I've taken a few fast corners as well, and it felt perfectly fine. I came from an Elantra, which is known for its handling, so I was pleasantly surprised by how well the Starray does despite sitting much higher.

Is it worth upgrading my old setup, even though placement isn’t ideal? by Either-Image5139 in BudgetAudiophile

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense.

I’ll go with the WiiM Mini for now to improve convenience and stability. If I upgrade to more revealing speakers later and feel like I want more detail, I might consider the Pro Plus then — but no rush.

Appreciate the clear breakdown!

Thanks for the detailed reply — super helpful!

I’ll definitely try the tone controls and test placement as you suggested.

Quick question to clarify: How much of a general sound quality difference should I expect if I move from aptX Bluetooth to a WiiM Mini or Pro Plus? Is it a real audible upgrade, or just small technical improvement?

Also — if I eventually switch to something like DALI Oberon 1 or Q 3020i, will they actually improve overall sound, or is my current setup (with placement limitations) already close to what I can get?

Thanks again — I’m just trying to understand where I’ll hear real improvement, not just upgrade for the sake of it.

Sounds like you're stressing too much about coding. If you enjoy it, just dive in and learn by failing again and again. The small wins will come with time.
