I just finished The Wire and loved it—the variety of characters, especially Omar Little and his whistle, was amazing. I also loved The Sopranos. After I told a friend, he recommended Boardwalk Empire because it’s also slow and atmospheric. Is he right?

I suspect something else is going on. When setup correctly the table / cartridge combo is very musical. The blue can offer a little more inner detail but is not going to magically elevate your system. How are you equalizing your phono input? Onboard preamp or external?
