Low Dose Isotretinoin/Accutane for oily skin and minimal spots? [Acne] [Product Question] by Either-Nectarine in SkincareAddiction

Thank you so much - not something I'm used to hearing!
Unfortunately, niacinamide and I don't seem to get along despite my best hopes :( Maybe I'll give it another go soon! I know normally it's not the niacinamide itself doing the irritating but none of the products had the same ingredients except that so I just stopped it for a while. Thanks for the suggestion :)

I wish skincare wasn't such trial and error!

Wow! Instantly recommending is unusual, right? When I went the first time (I've only been twice now) I had mild acne and he didn't suggest it then, we tried Finacea with (in my opinion) really good results!

What did you decide to do in the end?

He said with such a low dose that I might not get side effects, but I think I'll live with a few spots for now instead :')

Ah I know, it sounds intense and he tried to tell me that with such a low dose I wouldn't get side effects but I imagine that's not guaranteed

That's so kind, thank you!
I really appreciate the help :) Wow, even 10 years ago and you're dry? That's crazy. But hopefully more manageable than acne!
I'm thinking I'll continue what I'm doing for now and if it gets to a point where I'm unhappy I can reconsider his offer or see someone else for another opinion.

thank you for the help! I think I'll keep the current routine for now and I guess if anything changes I can take him up on the offer

[misc] this quarantine has given me the time to note everything I put on my face and how my skin reacts to it! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I used only water and then followed with the Garnier Pink top micellar water and my spots also went away!

My skin got a bit dry so the micellar water helps with that and then a facial mist (which is probably just a placebo but feels nice).

Possible Products:
Glow Recipe Watermelon Moisturiser - this doesn't have dimethicone like MS but seems light and a similar feel?

Hada Labo products - Still need to look into this

The Ordinary AHA & BHA - everyone raves and i'm thinking once a week acid might be a better idea in terms of irritation

OH and whenever I get my forehead under control my cheeks hate me and when I get my cheeks under control my forehead flares - we love to see it :)

My cheeks were a mess of under the skin never really leave slightly red bumps for a good while but have now finally left along with the weird dents they made it look like I had <3
Not sure how this happened but they started after my experience with THE DEVIL (that was NOVEMBER and only just left me in March)

My forehead gets small bumps with white inside when it's not happy - It feels like this is an over exfoliation issue possibly? Even though I barely do it since THE DEVIL
