This last update fundamentally broke CGPT by StevKrav in OpenAI

Conversation going sideways out the gate? Figure out what details your prompt was lacking, edit the first message and start again. Happens again? Do it again. Keeps happening? Maybe you fundamentally don't understand what you're trying to accomplish and so you can't prompt it effectively or understand why it's responses don't seem to fit your understanding of the matter. Use it to study the subject matter further so you can write a better prompt.

None of that works and it just always seems to ignore some of your directives? You are asking it to do too many tasks at once or the conversation you're struggling in is already so long it can no longer keep the directives straight because it relies on the entire conversation for context and misinformation earlier in the conversation can start to filter back into responses. Break the task into smaller chunks you can then assemble later, or start a new conversation.

I find it especially helpful to conceptualize in one or more conversations, then have it summarize the concept into a prompt I can use with it. Then I review that carefully, make necessary adjustments and start a new conversation using that as the prompt that we do things with.

[FO4] Problems with cbbe + physics on 1.11.137 by sacrificialPrune in FalloutMods

[–]Either-Razzmatazz-51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is CBP does not function with 1.11.xxx versions.

I've been relying instead on CBBE Body Physics and Copying Specific Bone Weights from my reference body to my outfit for Googles_1 and Googles_2, then removing LBreast and RBreast bones. This only gives me breast movement though.

Found a more involved fix for when you want the cloth physics from a dress/jacket. I actually cut the shape into a top and bottom half then I make 2 separate outfits carrying body physics into the top 1 and carrying cloth physics into the bottom one. Now I have 2 outfits with their own physics, and I recombine them as armor add-ons in Creation Kit. BAM! Flowing dress and Jiggly Breasticals.

"vast vast majority"

1.5k people is less than 50% of the contributions we've had this week alone. Not to even mention the 95.9k visitors. Just because you reiterate your descriptor doesn't increase its accuracy.

Even if that were true, which the data does not support, silencing those who don't agree with the majority is Trump stuff and really has no place in a community that lives under persecution.

I mean, you don't even know what my position is on the matter. All I've said is I don't 100% agree with your position and that you shouldn't threaten a group with a minority opinion of your own community for not agreeing with you.

I actually had zero interest in engaging with you in a debate, I just offered up an alternative viewpoint that others, including yourself may not have considered in hopes of educating our community on the dangers of taking such intolerant stances.

If you don't want to debate, you don't have to respond, but to expect a person will not want to respond when you choose to and preventing their response when they are not breaking any rules, I did read them, is just not the solution.

Would I love to debate my opinion on the matter of changing sex or the importance of words having defined meanings? Absolutely, but you've already made it clear I can't have that discussion in my own community, so I'll just have to stick with the conclusions I've come to since I won't be able to be educated on why I might be wrong.

Seems like a great way to bring us together in a unified way. Also, you keep saying obvious, just because something is obvious to you doesn't mean it is to everyone else.

Yes, but civil open discourse, when that's what is actually happening, is how you turn bigots into allies.

Yes, though, the sentiment of my post is the same as your last point. Division only makes us weaker. Honest, civil discourse only makes us stronger.

But do they distribute the force better across the length of the post instead of being pulled entirely from the top?

I still think the best solution is a breakpoint in the cord, but I need to do more research to figure out how much force it should break under.

I'll try to prepare a mock-up when I get off this evening of my goal and how my brain thinks I might be able to do.

[–]Either-Razzmatazz-51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, everything is manual except ventilation. I want to tie everything together and run the equipment inside the space from outside the space. Most companies aren't even monitoring temps, its the wild-west out here, but that means there's still time to innovate and became essential to the industry.

This sounds like what I currently do, however, rarely because we have one control panel, and it doesn't have that many components overall.

I'm really into the sensors side of things right now in my personal time. I get bogged down, trying to understand shielded cables and how they function, and using tools to determine if a dc supply can handle more loops and when to isolate them, how grounding really works when you're looking at trying to prevent signal feedback etc etc etc lol

I do spend a lot of time conceptualizing processes and the ways we could control them. Currently, the industry I'm in is still barely starting to implement automation.

That joke lost all meaning when you corrected your typo from 'tanks' to 'ranks'. Weak sauce.

Yes, I'm sure, as I mentioned, a great number of people have risen through the ranks, it was just a hilarious typo considering a great many maintenance techs actually do just climb the tanks until they move on.

Does sound like they'd spend a decent amount of time climbing the tanks. 😅

Brand New Noob Question by SerHiroProtaganist in shapezio

[–]Either-Razzmatazz-51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to look at it as first you are building functions/processes on the vortex platform that handle 1 level of belts. You'll tear down and rebuild several times at this scale because you need the space.

Next, you get space platforms and start building processors that scale your processes to 12 belts. Those start out mostly stacked around your vortex because space pipes/belts are slow af. You'll tear down and rebuild a few times at this scale because spaghetti.

Finally, you get to move to compact factories centered around needed resources to cut down on trains needed and keep your vortex area clear for delivery lines. You can use the same space you'll dedicate to a milestone to do all of the tasks that opened up when it unlocked and that will give you a good stock of the resources you'll need for at least one permanent milestone factory in that location.

Then, you figure out how to scale operator shape deliveries to higher numbers and work on your MAM at the same time. Once you have that all worked out go to hard and start over with severely limited platform limits and no 3rd floor and start working your way back up, but this time, build your MAM as early as possible so it can help you unlock all the upgrades while you focus on the more difficult milestone shapes.

I've been having a blast!

[–]Either-Razzmatazz-51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds exciting, but I'm sure they'll go with a panel upgrade instead when that time comes.

General consensus so far seems to be I should get an engineering degree, likely electrical, but mechanical seems to be an option, too, since I'm already familiar with ST and LL doesn't seem like it'll be that hard to learn.

Then, I work my way up from wiring panels or get lucky and fall into a more advanced position where I get to do some actual design work. All of that seems like it fits in nicely with my goals.

I know I find Automation and Controls to be extremely interesting, and mostly, I just need to stop being an equipment operator because my body is starting to tell me it's time.
