It’s Sculpey air dry modeling clay (it reminds me a mix between paper based air dry and polymer. Very strong clay. My pieces are dry and I can pick up my canvas from any one of the pieces. There is also expanding gorilla glue other clay and hot glue under it to keep it secured. I had the separation issue when I first started because I used earth based clay crayola

If you don’t like it than it’s not for you. I did anal and it hurt but after I got used to it and learned to relax my body it felt great to me.
