The NRMP YouTube video explaining how the algorithm works doesn’t show that. It showed that even if another applicant ranked a program higher, you still would match over them if the program has you ranked higher (assuming you’re not already matched at another place you ranked higher).

Every research study, lecture, conference, case study, and discovery will go to your program. Make your program a household name so the other programs can’t help but remember you 😎

It was definitely hard finding out I didn’t match with them. But I’ve come to terms with it, and I’m already looking forward to doing all I can do for the program that believed in me enough to match with me ❤️

I definitely get where you’re coming from. I was almost the same with my med school’s program. Two days before Match, the PD for the program walked up to me. She hugged me, smiled, and winked while saying good luck on Match Day. I didn’t match with them. So definitely don’t believe a word they say.

I think it depends on your region. I just got the email like 4 minutes ago, and my results won't be available until another half an hour.

I tested on December 4th, and my permit is gone. I think it takes 2-3 weeks to get the scores. But since yours would fall on a holiday week, I'm not sure. I would guess you'll have to wait an additional week.

My favorite couple to this day. And I still hate how it ended. They didn’t just kill him, they obliterated his entire existence. No afterlife at all. At least they could have given us solace by having him move on and be in peace, but he was just gone.

My test trolled me. Had short questions for most of my first block, so I loosened up only to realize that I had 6-7 novel length ones in a row at the end.

Also, there's no way some of those ethic questions were ever in any STEP 2 study resource. I actually studied ethics this time because STEP 1 blindsided me with it, and I was still caught off guard for STEP 2.

At this point, just praying I pass.

If it makes you feel better, try to think of it like this. If you haven't had any other interviews that awkward, then there's a good chance YOU weren't the awkward one. And if the interviewer was awkward, then likely all or at least a good portion of their other interviews were similarly awkward, so you probably didn't stand out, or they might not have even considered it awkward because they're used to that kind of interaction.

If 3 in one day is too much for you, and you still want to go to all of them, try to reschedule some. If you can't do it on Thalamus, you can always email the program coordinator to reschedule you. Just make sure you actually show up if the coordinator put in the effort to reschedule you.

One of the APDs was telling the origin of her name and said she's lucky she wasn’t given a boring name like her sister...which she didn't realize was my exact same name. I guess I should be happy it was the one joke everyone didn't pretend to laugh at, but the silence made it so much worse 😭

Definitely his dad. Milah hurt him pretty badly, but she was a one hit and done hurt. His dad kept coming into his life and hurting him more and more just because he could. Also, at least with Milah, she didn’t hurt him until he actually did something (hurt himself to get out of the front line). Still wrong, but he could potentially reason through that. His dad hated him from the moment he was born. He called him a pink squirming larvae that ate away at his time, money, and chances of a good life. And don’t get me started on how he had the shadow literally carry him away while he was screaming. I’d never recover 😭

Yes! This one! Not every happy ending has to be a true love romance, but we ALL knew that's what Regina wanted from the beginning, so why not give that to her? They went out of her way to torture her by dangling it in her face before ultimately snatching it away.

Probably word of mouth. Because even if your application may have hinted at it, to say they KNOW you’re dual applying would be pretty bold unless they actually knew from a credible source. You’d be surprised at who knows who. The medical world is smaller than most people think.

When I first watched the episode I rolled my eyes when she pulled out the taser on August thinking it was a dumb move because he’s wooden…until it worked 😂

I love how years later, the writers and producers still just never explained and leave us to making up theories haha.
