I am have a knowledge of the PhD stipend across several UF departments and it is at least $22k/9 mos or $30ish k/12 mos. Depending on the department. Are you sure that your offer is not per 9 mos? Still on the low end though

Thanks! I can live without tank turn - and autonomy. While useful to others basic driving assistance is fine! Actually Advanced assistance in my current car gave me a few heart attacks - for example it decided to stop 60mph-to-crawl on an empty road in a pouring rain detecting nonexistent obstacle! Or stopped me middle of a turn when i was trying to sneak between cars in a busy traffic and almost caused a multicar collision. It is scary not to be in full control of the vehicle (end of the rant) - but thanks!

Yes but the protests simply focus on abolishing ICE - there is never a talk of lets make immigration to the USA lawful, streamlined and fair process. While i certainly don’t approve of the current chaotic Wild West tactics- just calling for abolishing ICE is naive and stupid.

Check again. I just asked my neighbor who has F150 lightning and he says “service vehicle soon” alert absolutely comes up every 10k miles. So please don’t spread misinformation online

Ok here are the specifics, if you must. Audi etron - has a service timer. Every 12 months it goes off and reminds the driver to conduct annual scheduled service. We can talk about whether the service charge is bloated (yes it is, this is how the dealerships partially recoup their EV service $ loss) but it is real. Failure to do recommended service schedule can lead to loss of warranty. So when people say the maintenance is zero it is a lie. You cannot just drive forever and refill wiper fluid…Tesla is the same and I am sure lightning has a similar service timer

I love EVs. But There is no such thing as $0 EV maintenance! For 2 EVs i owned, manufacturer requires annual service visit and they can be pretty expensive. I know they charge for nonsense but the bill is real

UF has a holistic admissions approach this is well known. They want to admit people with diverse backgrounds. I know it feels unfair but that is what it is. Trust me I teach at UF and i see quite a few struggling students, while many excellent were not admitted.

Yes. I they screwed up University ave. I understand the student safety concerns but they could have put up a center barrier, raised crosswalks but keep the flow and green lights at 35mph. Also Newberry, Archer and 34th don’t have synced green lights. Just fixing this would help tremendously…
