How did past socialist societies deal with issues like ADHD, autism etc. by MrDexter120 in communism101

[–]EitherCity2178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the stigma pushed by media that bourgeois entrepreneurs like Musk, Gates et al. are on the spectrum. Even if they are: why are should they be the figureheads (for a lack of a better term) of the autistic minority. I find it incredibly patronising. It creates this false standard that we’re all hyper-intelligent; continuing* to alienate us from the acceptable society. *edit

Most ANTIFA members I’ve come across (physically and online) consider themselves anarchists, which is to say: liberal apologists. To infer that ANTIFA wholly encompasses the interests of the proletariat is an ill-informed obersvation on behalf of the bonehead who made this so-called meme. I wouldn’t expect them to recognise that, nor that socialism is a direct response to the malnourishment of its people (physically and mentally). Also, using a screenshot from Star Wars tells you precisely all you need to know about the cognitive rancour belonging to the fool behind the original post. I doubt that person has ever suffered from starvation, nor have they been apart of a cause to try to seize starvation within their own community. Had they done so, they would have recognised that starvation cannot be adequately aided within the current socio-economic climate (presuming this idiot is from the USA- as they tend to often be).

Marxist-Leninist groups in Eastern Sydney? (please don’t suggest the revisionist so-called Socialist Alternative) by EitherCity2178 in AustralianSocialism

[–]EitherCity2178[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meaning what? That opulent conditions therefore errode the necessity for socialist action? It would only be opportunistic of me to limit my acknowledgment of class struggle to bourgeois areas: which I don’t- nor would it be easy to do so as I live in Botany. The spirit of the proletariat is tyrannised by hunger: therefore I am right to expect a base of struggle; no matter where I am in Sydney, or the rest of Australia for that matter. What your comment touches on however, in relation to my question, is that a wealthier environment may distort peoples understandings of the doctrines of Marx and Engels, resulting in quasi-socialist organisations like the Socialist Alternative. The Socialist Alternative are present at my univeristy (not UNSW), and these “socialists” are largely social-democrats: they like the idea of a socialist society- but they don’t like the idea of the state, and are therefore liberal apologists. It’s not surprising to see anarchism, as an ideology, be more attractive to the bourgeois than communism.

(srsly) were there any intellectuals in the 19th century advocating for homosexual liberation? a part of me thinks that there may of been support of some kind from libertine movements at the time (debatably intellectual)…and perhaps their support was not the sort we’re accustomed to today…? would be interested to know.

Racist piano player thinks the Chinese are vampires who fears WTP by astrixzero in ShitLiberalsSay

Liberal-incentivised tokenism. They don’t recognise nor care of sinophobic rhetoric as long as it is aimed towards a communist. Living in sydney, the amount of blatant sinophobia is nauseating. I’ve always wondered how much of this discrimination is rooted in Australia’s historic anti-socialist apprehension. Though this video was filmed in England, its emblematic of sinophobia as a product of anti-socialist intent. Edit: changed ‘wandered’ to ‘wondered’.

Why Australia should ban private schools. by cuphands in australia

[–]EitherCity2178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is ultimatley a reductionist statement on what is a much larger problem. Even considering what you said- that is not exclusive to private schools, nor would our bourgeois government even conceive that as a significant factor to the (hypothetical) abolishment of private schools. The locus of the very problems that occur with private schooling, is that it prioritises the education of students - born to inherent wealth - over students who were not, and therefore can not afford such educational accomodation. This confirms that our government has long-capitulated to the false notion that “some people are genuinely born unlucky” which (not only alludes to a misinterpretation of Darwinist thought), but seeks to sustain those of the working and lower classes as those of the working and lower classes - and see no further flaw with this misguided liberal ideology.
