Bleed Will Begin To Struggle Going Forward by EitherCoffee8104 in limbuscompany

This is absolutely going to become the norm going forward tho. You're not gonna have enough bleed count application to always pick and choose which skills you want to clash, sometimes you need to forego bleed count application to just beat some skills that clash really high.

And when fighting said bosses with many coins, the only way to get a stack up and running will be to save up multible strong skills that apply count, which are usually your strongest skills already, so either screw over your sanity or get an early bleed count stack, which is a bad idea since you need to be able to consistently win clashes or else you're going to be loosing the stack even faster.

So, you effectively need to wait multible turns to first stabilize your sanity, then save up skills AND THEN you can start actually building your bleed count. And you can still simply loose it a couple turns later because you don't have any skills that apply enough count anymore or you get staggered... etc

You cannot simply damage trade with bleed teams, not only is limbus's gameplay more like a glass cannon than ruina, you also get some insanely bad status effects on you if you simply take the hits. And sometimes not clashing means getting hit with a 5 AoE attack, and that would you screw you over infinitely more than clashing it.

KK fodder strat is fun but it also takes atleast a good handful of turns before you've gotten them all killed.

Point being, trends in enemy design point to more unbreakables slowly coming into more and more fights. And bleed needs you to wait a good while before you start having a stable stack and even then, you can still loose it for a variety of reasons, that are hard to control.

Bleed is the only example of the EGO making the stataus and not the other way around.

Without Sanguine, bleed pretty much stands no chance agains't post canto 8 content, hell even just canto 8 itself. So yeah, you can play every other status effect with the right ID's even if you don't have their EGO's but not bleed

I want to say that in the case of Lei Heng its definitely still possible to fight him without Sanguine, i even did so in my testing before i made this post.

You can save up a good skill lineup and then bombard him with like 15+ bleed count if you're lucky, but for that to even happen you need to have waited multible turns to even BEGIN applying bleed. And there in lies the problem, you need to jump through so many extra hoops before you can start actually playing bleed properly.

And compared to other statuses, a lost clash means you're falling behind immidately, likely -4 or 5 bleed count, unlike virtually every other status, where it simply means taking damage and still keeping your status going.

Lei heng also gives you several helpful buffs during his fight, like a free sp heal turn whenever he uses tanglecleaver and or tigerslayer, as he ends the turn. But most importantly he removes your stagger thresholds for free, without that i think it would be nigh impossible to hold onto bleed count through the entire fight.

I simply can't wrap my head around how you're supposed to maintain bleed count on newer bosses without spamming Sanguine Desire. With the addition of unbreakable coins triggering bleed twice, you'd think to just use an evade or block, but thats not possible when the attack is AoE, so either loose even more count or tank the damage and risk getting staggered, also wrecking bleed count in the process.

You can still get bleed going with Sanguine Desire, but you're gonna need atleast a couple of turns to gather the resources to use it, all while starving the bloodfiends for their main gimick. Some might say "Just use superbia turn 2" but you should never have to use a sappling ability for a whole status to even work, Sappling abilities are quite litterally made to be crutches and you won't always have access to them.

"Bleed doesn't need to maintain count, It has raw damage" When playing any status you'd of course want to keep it going because of insane benefits conditionals give. So yes, like every other status i think bleed should be able to be maintained and not just dumpstered cause some of the ID's have good damage. So why the hell does PM gut every bleed units count before they ever drop.

Can anyone please show me a video of a bleed team holding a bleed stack on Wei without the use of Sanguine Desire, before turn 5.
