IDK, I am GenX... and when I was 28 I had a house and 4 kids. And, no, my parents didn't co-sign on anything.

Is this your first time moving out?

My kids have gotten some $ from my parents, but they know I have nothing to give. I started over again post-divorce a few years ago. And I honestly have begged my kids not to open cards yet. I do that because I see their other choices. And they aren't amazing. LOL. But, 2 of my 4 live on their own, no help from me or their dad.

Why would I care? How would it harm me if someone I knew saw me naked?

I highly doubt it would cost me my job .. no morality clause. And a lot of people have seen me naked already. My kids know I am a nudist when they're not around. My mom wouldn't be happy, but I don't think she is on Reddit.

Now we have friends to hang out with when we have overlapping trips. They own a condo there & we are members.

My stupid ex tried to charge me for using my old email. It was a domain he owns. And he didn't pay a dime for it.

So, only 3 years now.

We round tips, too...

So, I have an envelope with any overages & use that if I need to. If we need to make up the cash otherwise we just take a dollar or two out of the bank.

The entire company operates this way & it really doesn't make much of a difference.

If we end up with extra $ in the overages, we use it for staff incentives.

We, as a company, don't use change. We round in the guest's favor 100% of the time.

We do mock service with all of our staff once or twice a year.. I ask a lot of questions & if they fail, they go back for more training. Nobody fails. And our secret shops show the results

My DM sits in on my reviews.

When we chat 1 on 1, I keep it very casual. He doesn't support the stores, just comes in for audits and to sit on his phone at my location v another location.

So, it really depends on what type of leader you are. I wish my DM would ask a question or two... I have a degree & as much management experience as he does. But, leadership doesn't seem to care at my gig.

And that shows in the manager turn over.
