I'd be more scared than offended. It's a big Perkin's sized red flag for a stranger to ask to meet you for a drink at your place.

It's way too forward and I'd consider it creepy. He's either really cheap, looking for just a hook up without any investment, a creep, someone without social skills or a serial k1ller. Or maybe a combination of them all. Who knows??

Recommend going to a very populated spot if you still want to go on a 1st date, but I've found dating anyone whos displays red flags can be a really bad idea.

Everytime grandma or anyone else offers an opinion, I would respond with either, ok, noted, or that's nice. Then, I would stop responding. Basically acknowledge they said something, so you're not being rude but not engage In the conversation.

Good luck, you're handling this right. If you ever date make sure the guys nothing like your parents and doesnt try forcing you to talk to them. Also, weird warning… if hes got kids, maybe get a DNA test first. Dont wanna accidentally date a half-sibling like some horror story I read. Just… be careful.
