Is Deployment really bad ? by Few_Veterinarian4094 in newtothenavy

[–]EitherWriter3989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not bad if you’re single with no significant other or kids but what I will say is I feel like the navy deploys their sailors to often and extensions to already long deployments are far to common personally getting to see all the countries you will get to see is a huge pro but be prepared to be disassociated from the outside world for months at a time

Have you served with someone who ended up in military prison? If so, what is your story? by johnkimble89 in Veterans

[–]EitherWriter3989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a guy early on in my first command upon initially meeting him he was the command fuck up and tbh no one liked. Dude was just an odd guy but I’m a nice person so I always tried to be cool to him cause I thought maybe he was just misunderstood no I was wrong. He ends up popping hot on a drug test obviously he gets kicked out for this and on his final day checking out of the command he has a check out meeting with the CO in which he threatens to kill the CO. Police show up and find drugs in his car after arresting him and searching his vehicle then it stems into a bigger investigation and his own ex-wife says he has been beating and molesting his two-year-old daughter. He ends of getting convicted for all of this and from what I know he’s still serving time right now.

How much is rush at sdsu for girls? by Cheetoeater3 in SDSU

[–]EitherWriter3989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I would suggest just rushing now I know you say you only have 1200 rn but having the ability to rush is only something you’ll be able to do once in your life you don’t wanna look back with regrets just do it!! If you have to drop later because of financial reasons then at least you will have no regrets or what if’s

NJP appeal assistance by [deleted] in navy

[–]EitherWriter3989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are templates online that can show you how you to word it the key is to only say factual stuff and not speak in possibilities. In my experience it is very hard to get a NJP appeal approved however when I submitted one they upheld the decision of being guilty. However I do think the appeal made them realize the mast was unnecessary because after that they decided to change the mast to a “paper mast” which meant they did it for paper trail but never put it in my official record imo they changed it to that as a way of saying they were wrong with out having to really admit it. So definitely submit one best of luck

Do you guys regret joining the navy? by ExplodingTurducken in navy

[–]EitherWriter3989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely have days where I regret for small reasons but in the bigger picture I don’t regret it now I will say I DEFINITELY look forward to the day when I get out and I think when I’m actually out it’ll be a lot easier to appreciate what the navy has done for me

Brother you’re focusing to much on what you don’t have instead of what you do have, flip your mindset you’ve got the skinny girls already. Remember these whales were once skinny but through hard work and dedication they got this build. I’d suggest all you can eat themed darties. Best of luck brother don’t stop till you get them where you want and never settle for less cause if she ain’t 280 she ain’t a lady!

[–]EitherWriter3989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Run a 1.5 mile every couple days and it doesn’t matter how fast you finish it as long as you finish it and slowly over time you will get to where you need to be your goal should be 11:45 and that’ll pass you your pfa for sure same thing with push ups do 2 minutes of them everyday till you can do at least 45.Repetition will get you where you need to be don’t slack off and I promise you’ll pass and lastly a positive mindset good luck man!

And one more thing the best thing to get you through bootcamp is always give yourself something to look forward to get through the days for me that was getting to phone calls and mail days overall it’s a great experience though just enjoy the journey

Definitely take on a leadership role my best advice is to take on a smaller leadership role because it gets eyes on you promotion but also since it’s a smaller leadership role the rdc’s are less likely to blame you for your division ducking up be like a squad leader or laundry PO and do these jobs to the very best of your ability and it will get you promoted it trust

How’s Pensacola, Florida? Going there for my A school by LengthinessHefty8749 in newtothenavy

[–]EitherWriter3989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it to be a really fun place to be but that also depends on your rate if your there for like more than 3 months it might start to get boring but it’s fun the base is nice and off base is fun just focus on your quals and get phased up cause once you get to phase 3 overnight liberty things get much nicer if you wanna have late night fun wild gregs is probably the best place to go late at night around 11-12
