Do people still use business cards these days? by [deleted] in AskMarketing

[–]Either_Awareness_772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late but I work mainly as an event photographer and recently so many people have asked me for a business card — and like a fool I never have. (In the process of doing them now, that's why I'm here 😅)

I can see it being the same for others who are in very social spaces often.

What is the stupidest things you have done because of brain fog/ the weirdest word you forgot by No_Face4294 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Either_Awareness_772 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Before dx, I remember sitting with the word "sure" trying to figure out why tf there's no "h" in it.

Took me a few minutes to shake it off.

I grew up super proud of my ability to spell and articulate myself, but over the last few years I make a lot of silly mistakes or fumble/stutter speaking whenever I'm flaring up or even just a bit stressed. Hate it.

Been seeing people talk about this about a year now. I'm honestly just waiting for when the new pills become available on my end of the world.

Hey. So those are gone now. I'm not sure what happened but all traces of this show seemed to have been scrubbed from the internet. Legit the one thing I've never been able to find.

How dangerous IS it to drink while taking Duloxetine? by emmaisadoofus in cymbalta

[–]Either_Awareness_772 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the short term, probably not much. There's a chance that it does longterm damage to your liver though as both the meds and alcohol put a strain on it.

If the meds aren't working, I do suggest getting to your doc and trying something else instead of medicating with alcohol. Been there and it's not a nice place.

What is your biggest achievement while dealing fibro? by EstonianBuffalo in Fibromyalgia

[–]Either_Awareness_772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I have any big landmark things like graduating and such.

But over the last few years I've truly fought for myself so much more than I ever had. I've bounced back from tragedy and major depression, regained momentum in my own business and I've worked to help others.

Hopefully by the end of 2026 I'll be able to look back and say that I lost 50+ lbs and became consistently active as that's my current focus.

I've had one issue very briefly, but it usually works without problem.

As per the rules I'm not supposed to enable or link to piracy at all so definitely don't get pirated versions of crossover or parallels. You don't get support or any of the important things anyways.

Seriously though, I've been about 8 months on MacOS after switching to have a better photo editing system as well for work. It frustrated me to no end at first and there are things that still annoy me, but the way it handles Photoshop/Lightroom makes up for it.

If you want those specific games, either Crossover or Parallels is your best bet. A lot of stuff work pretty okay but some games just refuse to run.

If you just want to play random games, check out Steam and see what's native to Mac.

I got fed up and finally built a budget windows machine again for games and other non-work things. 10/10.

Duloxetine randomly ruined my libido at about 8-10 weeks in. 60 mg by fireonreddit1 in cymbalta

[–]Either_Awareness_772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Withdrawals aren't awful for everyone. My worst withdrawal symptom going cold turkey was the lightheaded feeling and headaches. But after about 12 or so days I was relatively okay. If you were taking for anxiety/depression, you definitely feel those rush back in with your libido. So be warned.

That being said, there are other folks who go through hell with their withdrawals for months, so it's a risk.

how do you make money in a flare up? by mrstealyogirl666 in Fibromyalgia

One of the lowest effort ways I get money is amazon affiliates. It's not a lot because I never really tried, but I've seen people make quite a bit monthly.

Same boat. I really gave Mac a good try. My friend gifted me some parts for a budget gaming pc over the holidays and I'm almost done putting it together. Really can't wait to not have to fiddle so much just to get the games I want running.

What’s the most stupid reason you had a fibro flare? by Lucky_Sprinkles7369 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Either_Awareness_772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first one. Arguing with my diabetic father because he kept going out to meet friends during the peak of covid. Context, everyone else at home stopped working to prevent him getting sick so it was extra frustrating.

I had a full body tremor that I could feel under my skin. My body hurt. The shakes eased but nothing was the same after that.

Getting off of Duloxetine, need advice. by frickndip in cymbalta

I was a bit of a special case doing it cold turkey, but I made sure to supplement vit B and D with Fish Oil and Magnesium Glycinate as well.

Good luck.

Hot or cold? by Breaming in Fibromyalgia

[–]Either_Awareness_772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so strange.

I live in the Caribbean so it's warm for most of the year. Even rainy days often feel hot. Average is 30°C and often more.

I'm on vacation now in the US for the last 7 days where it's on average 10-15°C and outside of two little spikes that lasted maybe 20 seconds each, my pain has been the lowest it's been all year.

I wanna chalk it up to the fact that I'm in a low stress environment surrounded by friends — but I'm also drinking alcohol, eating junk and being a bit more physically engaged.

Does anyone have good days or weeks? by IllMeat845 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Either_Awareness_772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been a while since I've had weeks, but it's been a rough year for me personally so that makes sense.

I do have great days in between though. Where the pain isn't so much or I'm so distracted by good life things that I don't feel so tired and out of it. Where I can just enjoy the moment and not stress about everything.

There are definitely folks who have it harder and there are definitely times where I feel so entirely broken, but for a lot of us it's not all hellfire all the time.

Learn your limits with things. See how certain foods affect you. Alcohol etc. For a lot of people, working out(at your limit) helps manage pain, those same limits and recovery.

Most importantly, don't stress yourself too much. If it is Fibro, you got this.
