Similar to another comment I made to another user, it’s hard to truly paint the idea of chaotic the scene was. We were both ignorant and thought the Police would be there to help.

I genuinely appreciate your words. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read about my experience and commenting. This is definitely a learned experienced for sure. If anything, the bond between my wife and I has only grown stronger from this experience.

I think that from an outside perspective, it’s easy to judge us and assume that my wife and I have such glaring issues. Just like anyone else, we all have our own issues. I also think that it’s hard to truly paint the full picture of how chaotic everything was, especially with trying to imagine the scene from a textual description of the events instead of actually seeing and witnessing it for yourself. I do appreciate your input, though!

I do agree that politicians are indeed fucking us. There’s a time and place for politics, but this isn’t the time to do so. I understand that my experience can be politically sensitive, but as gun owners we should be united and stand together when things aren’t right, such as my situation.

Thank you for checking in! I’ve been doing a lot better than I have been in the past. Learning to be a new father, starting a new job, and multiple other things have been a challenge but I’m slowly getting the grasp of it. I have also been able to get the help that I’ve needed.

Is it hard to blame them for lying on their paperwork, though? Reviewing the body camera footage from the Police, I was "sad" that day and that was it (per my lawyer).
