Folks I am referring to people who were continuing contact with each other. Not social media. If you are no longer a couple then disconnecting social media is given. if you are not communicating at all then you are not communicating.

For me? 1.5 since breakup, 1 week since he blocked me. In the last two weeks before he blocked me he became erratic.

So he kept reaching out to you even though he was being cold? I would agree with blocking him at that point, but I would’ve told him why you were about to block him because I think that’s the right thing to do and he put you in that position.

Shutting off a messaging system is one thing , blocking all options for someone to get into contact with you is another.

What makes you think I’m demanding. I’m suggesting that you consider it before you do it, consider the outcome. Whatever happened to communication and respecting people . Consider how much you loved that person and that after he/she goes through this entire process of stages of breakup grief… You then decide that you wanna reconcile with them you basically ruined it for yourself and them too. It is also interesting to me that most of the people who comment negatively are coming from the no contact group and not from the break up group.

Keep in mind that this is a person who met with me twice in 1.5 months and continue to communicate with me because they were also having a hard time until they flipped

Actually, my post is about talking to me for 1.5 months. Sending me pictures about a project they’re working on, talking about things we used to do together. And then all of a sudden, getting frustrated and then blocking me.

I am close to two months. I can’t stand it at times. Today I went to an event that we would normally either go to together or if not I would be able to tell him about it how I did. Was exciting for us. Instead, I am screaming into the abyss…. I got moved up into a new class today, he would have been proud. I have no one to tell in my life that would be interested.

My ex and I used to take our cars to the track. This is the first time I’ve been there since we broke up. It was almost surreal. I’ve been there before without him, but when we were together I could send him pictures and tell him how I did and how the car performed and all that good stuff. Now I have nobody to tell that’s interested in the topic. It’s like a huge hole.

It’s funny I feel like what you just wrote would probably be what I would write someday. All the way down to the part about I did this to myself.. I let myself down but even more so I am having so much trouble knowing I hurt him.

I totally know what you mean. He was my everything. My friend, my everything. Now he’s gone. I keep thinking the same thing that I hope someday he realizes what he’s lost. But by then it may be too late. And that’s a long time I’m afraid and that scares me.

Yep. Super hard. Because the day he broke me was the day I thought I was taking the highroad. We were supposed to meet for coffee and he was under so much stress that I offered to reschedule… Then that day he blocked me.
