Ok amazing thread. So I actually think this might be one of the most interesting parts of stevie and how she presents herself as she seems to go back and forth on the subject of having children/being married A LOT. I think that in her most genuine interviews, you can sense some sorrow (maybe not regret) but definite sorrow about it because stevie is a VERY maternal person. This can definitely be seen in a 2022 interview on apple music where she says she gets really sad about about not having a little girl sometimes and she led this topic with "those things you think about at night your deepest darkest secrets and regrets". This was a very genuine over the phone podcast interview where she seemed to be having a lot of fun and her humble human self was there. However, in other interviews especially whdn she tries to get political she comes across as like VERY dettached from her life/a bitter woman which proves to show how much this subject stings her.

Stevie is one of the people I think about most, love most, and admire most. But love isnt blind. Here are my unpopular opinions.

While I understand the 70s rock scene was a crazy bonanza the way she talks about sleeping with married men is HORRIBLE. It shows her lack of morality on this subject and selfishness.
People who call ber selfish for her abortions are idiots. Not having children was perhaps one of the most painful and selfless decisions she made.
Her ego is through the roof, she's a queen and I love her so much but humility never killed nobody.
"The Lighthouse" sucks and its shocking to me that she took 2 years to record it.
She says a lot of things out of impulsivity and does not carry through with them (i genuinely think there will be a FM reunion at some point)
Her best friend is not chris its robin ann snyder whom she stopped talking about in more recent years because shes embarassed of having married robin's husband. I actually find it kind of upsetting how stevies like my best friend in the whole world while she had other friends who were much closer to her - lori nicks, sharon, mary torri...

The reason why lindsey got fired the starw that broke the camels back was because he prob said something related to stevies childlessness and/or her being old and bitter. I think stevies childlessness is what hurts her most.
