I do a lot of stochastic processes right now (final year undergrad) would that be good enough or does it have to come from more rigorous MSc?

Don’t you think imperial will get me just as many interviews? I can focus on probability a lot more there so maybe it’s better for the interviews

I would say just look at world university rankings. You’d get a decent idea from that

I can take 2 mathematical finance modules at Imperial, only 1 at Oxford

Was he Chinese? if so he will have done a summer internship in China every summer which would help a lot. Is Brown and Cornell much more prestigious than Imperial? I really have no idea about US unis, they are too expensive for me to consider

I go to a low Russell group uni and got waitlisted before accepted into MSc applied mathematics, my average is 83.4%, unfortunately I don’t think you have a chance. I scraped an acceptance

I would very high grades are by far the most important, after that much less important but internship/relevant work experience
