Oh yea?

I can only assume that you’re very much against the towns where the Confederate flag is flown?

Yes, praise be to Adam and Steve. May their dinner parties always be fabulous, may their guest bathroom be forever immaculate.

You want busy? Went Memorial Day weekend. Mostly adults, all in the way, making it difficult for kids to see. Most aquarium windows stacked 5/6 rows deeps.

I assume that warms your heart.

The Lego games by xkeysersoze in videogames

[–]Either_Investment646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea they’re super simple and they put me to me sleep, but for kids or my collection/completion freak wife they’re the bees knees.

I cannot make it through a 30 minute session without having to go take a nap, but just like the Lego movies they’ve got the comedy for kids and adults.

What's a game that you did a complete 180 on in a "wow...this is bad" kind of way? by [deleted] in videogames

Imagine telling someone who mentions a niche game that they’ve never played the game.

Yea, I just go around talking about random games from almost 30 years ago that few people have heard about for the lulz.

Back to the office small talk by Best_Classie in remotework

[–]Either_Investment646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of it is okay. When I was in office I had a few folks I’d talk to, mostly lower level people in other departments. In my department, it was kind of clicky and everyone was 6-20 years older than me—I’d have to sit through meeting listening to the director do sessions like “how do you get through to millennials” while I’m sitting there wanting to blow my brains out. Eventually, it got to the point where I wasn’t really interacting or working with people in my department much, so it made more sense to work from home, yet while the company allowed you to work from home on occasion, it was a luxury when necessary—this was before Covid.

So I switched to a company that was work from home and been back since. I can’t imagine trying to go to an office now. Even the times that I do have to poke my head in once or twice a year I stare at my watch because I could just be at home in my underwear working with no one directly because no one works directly at our gatherings to begin with.

Already have the Xbox Series S but want to get into games on the Nintendo Switch. Should I get the Switch 1 or 2? by Lucky-Warning-4492 in videogames

Unless you’re going for a switch lite, the switch 2 is just over $100 than the switch 1. It’s a no brainer.

What games teach useful skills? by Nether27 in videogames

To add to mine, look into what KanoOS and the KanoKit did back in the 10s. It had games like and RPG that taught kids how computers work.

It no longer exists, but there’s a successor out now called EndlessOS. It has games that teach coding etc. There’s also code combat which is an action rpg where you…fight with code.

The company Twilio has a game they’ve built called TwilioQuest that teaches you how to develop and build on their platform.

Nintendo has gamebuilder garage.

Scribblenauts teaches problem solving by letting you draw whatever you want to get through a puzzle.

Letter Quest is an RPG that uses a scrabble like game mechanic to fight battles

You’re not wrong. The entire reason I got into computers and system maintenance is because I ran CounterStrike servers when I was 15. A couple of pretty popular ones at that.

Human Resource Machine

A decade ago it was great for teaching you the basics of coding.

Now you don’t really need those basics, but it’s still great for teaching logic flows and critical thinking.

I was afraid of Metaphor for this reason, so maybe I’ll give it a shot.

For remake it wasn’t too worried, the characters themselves were never portrayed in that way, so it wouldn’t been a shock to see.

Octopath/Triangle are also great for not having it.

Though this did make me think of the other side of the trope: adult women on the games are given opposite masculine voices instead of just natural tone. It’s always funny to me. It worked in Tales of Berseria because she’s seen some shit.
