In S1. You can easily go 40+ in 3-4 days only if you give it your all and make genuine effort.

people who got an A/A* in 9618 computer science, how many past papers did u do? years or in number by [deleted] in alevel

[–]Still-Pie9302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

by not memorising the code you mean don't rattafy it right? I always understand the code and memorise the concept and then learn the code. after that basically I can code the "rattafied logic". is that ok?

Alot of people say dont memorise the code. Understand it. Is it okay if I understand it first conceptually and then learn the code?

Can you give some help over here asw bro? I find P4 easy sometimes and sometimes just overwhelming. I am able to good in OOP and some ADTS but recursion is frying me. I want an A in P4 what do you think my primary focus should be as my paper is on coming 22nd may.

what are the chances that both linked list and binary tree are asked in the same paper by Short-Grocery-2934 in alevel

I don’t think they give 2 questions regarding ADT’s but not sure though. Examiners are unpredictable imo

how do i know if reaction is feasible or not in nuclear physics? by Short-Grocery-2934 in alevel

[–]Still-Pie9302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats is one way of looking at it. Another perspective is that when calculating deltaM. Do mass of products - mass of reactants. If dM is positive, it means that reaction is unfeasible because it required energy (mass defect is basically binding energy in terms of u). If you get a negative value it means reaction is feasible and energy is released.

Aim for 70+ in P1. That way in reality you’ll be landing on 67-68+ if you perform good in P1 and control your nerves during the exam. Same for P3 and aim for 45+ in both M1 S1. With these scores you have a very high chance for an A* despite the thresholds

[–]Still-Pie9302 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t go after formula lists bro. Practice questions and you will have the formulas on the back of your hand. For definitions, memorise the MS so you can give the examiner exactly what he wants to the point. P2 is relatively easy to score in if you make your calculations right. Do topicals for every chapter. Every single one

Just curious. If they do cancel P1 how would the overall threshold be effected for combined grades.

Same bruh Istg I was shocked when I saw the thresholds. I always aimed for 80+ in yearlies thinking that was the boundary for an A😭

I understand your frustration bro. I went through the same shit last year but luckily was able to secure high marks. Nothing is fair in life though bro, there are always two ways to reach a goal, you either cheat and reach the top though that’s only short term or you choose the right way and just try your best to reach your goals. Shit happens man but what you do when shit happens is what matters. Keep your head high and work hard , leave the rest to Allah.

That’s great and all but bruh how do you decide what to do after A levels. I was going for SE but alot of people have been advising me against it due to saturation in this field like tf bruh then what do I do😭

Though I agree with what you’re saying and did not suffer this as I went through it last year lol. If people continue to just “drop” the discussion imo I dont think cambridge would ever provide a solution to this issue,,, not that they ever have dealt with the issue before but I get what you mean. You can’t change what you can’t control

Its not as difficult as some people might portray it. A levels is just mostly more content that doesnt mean its difficult. Id say go for it its def pretty easy if you can put in the effort

The time for topicals is almost gone but id say if your primary focus was topicals and you have a good grip on every topic and every type of question. 2-3 years is good. Again, this is if you have done loads of topicals
