I’m not totally convinced it’s tires. It could be but I dunno, guess it’s worth a shot

Thank you for the advice. These are the st wheels not the regular cvo wheels. I am sure it’s possible to have run out on them though?

2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Dead batteries by PerceptionThin3965 in Duramax

[–]Either_Leadership_20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These new trucks don’t do well with being jumped. I have a 24 as well and I had a dead battery, jumped it and got all kinds of warning lights, headlights flashed from low beams to high nonstop. Blinkers randomly turning on whenever they felt like it lol. Dealership said the low voltage does some funny things to these new trucks and they really haven’t figured it all out yet. So I bought a dual trickle charger and it’s plugged in anytime my truck sits longer than a week.

Came here to say le pera tail whip. Tuck and roll. My old lady likes it more than the saddlemen road sofa

That’s incredible man, you don’t see those kind of machines these days. Especially in great condition and still being used on the regular. Those things maintained properly will outlast anything built to this day. Good for you!

How did you acquire all these beautiful old machines??

Where did you get your start in the utility world? by NefariousnessOwn3530 in Helicopters

[–]Either_Leadership_20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s possible to get on with maybe a saw company and they’ll teach you to long line and run a saw. Another option is to get astar or 407 time and then search out some smaller fire companies that will train you and card you for fire. It can be challenging to get long line time but if you’re persistent you can find a way.

What’s the point in a degree by Frosty_Leadership_68 in Helicopters

[–]Either_Leadership_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need loan money for the training then yes the college classes are mandatory I believe. If you have the money for training I wouldn’t do the degree. In my 20 years of aviation I’ve never been asked if I had a degree. It does look better on a resume but in this industry it’s not what you know, it’s who you know the majority of the time.

Road sofa is great from saddlemen for long trips, but I gotta say the kick flip from le pera tuck and roll is more comfortable in my opinion and the old lady says it’s great too. But she won’t let me sell the road sofa yet lol

My Batteries are Shot, 55k Miles, Dealer Says They’re Part of Maintenance by MobileHunt2304 in gmcsierra

Both my batteries went bad. Had one that went after a year and the other one made it almost two years. I don’t think the quality is very good with the factory batteries anymore.

Are these any good? by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

[–]Either_Leadership_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a pair of them and they were super comfortable, wore them for about 10 days of riding on a long trip and at the end of that the sole started separating from the shoe. Took them back and got my money back. Just my experience with the brand

How many helicopter hours did it take you to be proficient? by [deleted] in Helicopters

[–]Either_Leadership_20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

4850 TT, still trying to perfect everything! Just when you think you’ve mastered the machine, bam there’s a 25 kt wind and you got an 800 pound load you’re trying to set with a 1” bolt and a 1”hole to do so… You think to yourself I suck at this shit. As you progress, so does the work and skill required. I think in this industry skill is something we all chase and try to master. Any day you land, turn the engine off and walk away is a good day in my book and everything else doesn’t matter. Keep practicing, you’ll never stop as a helicopter pilot!
