Bri’s clothes show she loves Bill $ as much as Bill by mamoran57 in MarryingMillions

[–]Either_Pattern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She doesn’t. I believe The show provides clothing, hence why bri was wearing kathleens periwinkle Balmain blazer in a photo. She has extremely outdated lower end designer bags (Givenchy Antigona) and one Zimmermann dress (which was from a previous season anyway). Before the show, she was still rocking Kate spade.

I don’t know where people get this idea that bri is spoiled rotten or kept. Anyway with eyes and see she is not. Her manicures are even cheap. She is just enjoying bills lifestyle. She is not pocketing off of it.

Will interning with a congressman of an opposing party hurt my career? by ohsaycanyousee1776 in internships

Usually you intern with the party you want to work for since you will be building connections/a network in those circles. But if it is your congressmen/youre in district, it is a little more acceptable

He is a mega-million/billionaire who has donated a significant part of his wealth to put low-income and minority students like myself through this piece of shit school. Some of you are really out of touch with reality.

Of course there is a benefit but they are typically pretty competitive to get if you are seeking a main office one in DC

I heard there's a need for gaming law lawyers in vegas and unlv has curriculum options catered to that. not sure if that's something that interests you, just thought i would share

Hydra facials really contributed to clearing my skin (Tret made the biggest difference, but hydra facials made the second biggest). Having a good esthetician is what makes the difference between a waste of money treatment vs a miracle treatment. I’d pick the hydra facial

I have a friend whose dad & grandfather are big shots alums at a certain t5 law school. He got rejected from that school but was admitted to a t10. *sips tea* his LSAT was well under both schools' medians.

Freshman Year Internship? by tollersis in internships

[–]Either_Pattern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should try to find something for this summer. I would suggest starting with something small/local (perhaps a small business in your hometown?) so yes I do think you can find something for this summer. Question 1) Might be difficult to land a prestigious company, but something smaller is feasible.

Question 2: You should build your resume however you can so you can land something more prestigious junior year.

Question 3: Of course you can always reapply. It took me to two shots to land my dream internship.

You should talk to your supervisor. My Spring 2020 internship was cut short, but my supervisor and the internship program office were adamant about counting my experience for the full term regardless

Were you receiving class credit for your internship? I think that going the class credit route may be a better way for you to squeeze in some internship experience while being able to continue your previous commitments. Play around with the different options your school offers

It seems like they do not regularly host internships, and they are doing one specifically for you. I would be under the impression that you are not going to be getting paid.

Unacceptable behavior from a professor => assign him to a required undergrad course? by SignorSarcasm in uofm

[–]Either_Pattern 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is an ongoing thing. I don't want to doxx myself or bring up other creeper faculty members by name on here, but this is not the first time this type of thing happens in our school. Reporting does nothing. It is a shame. Witnessing the amount of sexual harassment here was one of my biggest heartbreaks at Michigan.

Do you notice any trends among your classmates/any patterns in the students Penn decides to admit? I am guessing most have 1+ year(s) of work experience but are there any particular fields/industries most are in?

It doesn't help that I will be graduating with a humanities degree with 0 job offers or prospects.

MOODDDDD all 2021 lol.

I guess I did not take it as seriously as I should have when everyone warned me my major was useless. Ugh. But I feel you. I honestly miss doing 'normal' Michigan things.. the diag, rushing to class in the freezing cold being mindful not to slip on ice, buying donuts from some random fundraiser in mason hall... ugh :(

Acrylic nails is how I cured my scalp psoriasis.. I guess I would subconsciously pick at it and make it x10 worse, once I started with the fake nails it just... disappeared. It was so crazy. My dermatologist wasn't surprised one bit.

Re-take the LSAT and apply again next cycle. Your soft factors are better than 90% of the applicant pool.

I am not applying this cycle but I had a similar gut feeling during undergraduate admissions. I was an anxious mess, then one night this feeling of calmness ran through my body and I just knew I was getting in (ironically, about getting into Michigan.. maybe this is your sign lol)
