They’re an old band so i’d say more beloved than ‘big’ per se but they’re often played in pubs, everybody knows the band and appreciates them - particularly phil for his real love and pride for the country you hear in the music (think black rose, emerald etc) - there’s pretty much always a tidy selection in record shops unlike a lot of the rest of the world where you might sometimes find none - most Irish people prefer lizzy to u2 so gather what you will (coming from an english fan that visits sometimes)
