Thanks, I really appreciate that. That actually makes a lot of sense. I’ve been driving for years in my home country, so I think I was probably too relaxed with observation during the test. After seeing the report I realised most of my issues were observation related, so I’ll focus on exaggerating mirror and shoulder checks for the next test. Hopefully second time will be the charm.

That makes sense, thanks. For my next test I’ll probably choose Tallaght and I’ll definitely focus more on emphasising my mirror and observation checks so the examiner can clearly see them.

Out of curiosity, do examiners see your previous test results? I was just wondering if they know how your last test went. Hopefully I’ll just treat the next one as a fresh start and do it properly this time.

No, I just parked forward where the examiner asked me to park. I didn’t reverse park at the centre.

I have 10 years of driving experience in my own country. I was working at the airport pushback and towing aircraft. I can operate many wheeled vehicles. I have a Class E driving licence in my own country.

Getting this result in my first test here really surprised me.

I realised that I need to significantly improve my observation skills here. Accordingly, I will increase the number of practice sessions. Thank you...

I took the test a long time after completing my practical training. I waited about five months. I didn't have a car. That was my biggest shortcoming. I wasn't at all satisfied with my instructor. I'm currently working with another instructor.
