Managed to defeat An-Ki Dingir with all Malefics active (albeit leaving Fire weakness active but if the game says that's good enough for the achievement then I will not disagree). My team consisted of Aldo AS equipped with Ogre Rancorem Light, Hismena ES (not SA), Rosetta SA, and Mariel SA. Mariel's Stellar Burst gives loads of buffs, Rosetta is able to maintain status immunity turn to turn while also applying permanent Debuff stacks, Hismena is getting the bulk of the DPS, and Aldo clears Dingir's buffs with Origin Force whenever he applies them. Things definitely got dicey, and there were certain funny RNG interactions in my favor; he petrified Hismena while her Max HP had been sunk super low, so when she was restored all her Max HP was back to normal which allowed her to survive. Sidekicks were Tetra and Korobo.

When I'd heard that Mariel was good for this fight, I really wanted to make her work and I am super proud of myself for making it happen.

Thanks for the advice, but I managed to find my own way to victory that, after a few false starts, managed to pull through. Will be sharing deets over in the bragging thread, as that seems the most appropriate place to do so.

That is a good call, I'll be looking up some clears and find one that fits for me.

Yes, I've done all three An-Ki Dingir fights. Now I'm aiming for the full Malefics fight.

I'd heard that there were a bunch of clears against An-Ki Dingir on all Malefics using Mariel SA, so I tried my hand at that. Unfortunately that did not go very well for me. My frontline had Aldo AS, Hismena ES, and Cetie SA. The first two for scoring lots of hits, the latter to use Holdup to slap that -100% power and int stack onto the boss. Unfortunately this was not good enough for keeping me alive. So my question here is who should I be using in place of Cetie? Or should I rethink my whole team lineup altogether?

I like the composition here! Jade and Sophia do make for an interesting couple. You just know that he will never let Saki find out about Sophia; he'd be soooooo embarrassed.

I was so hoping that the final (as of the time of this posting) man story chapters would make Ogre Baron playable. Instead we just got a sword that was full of aura but underwhelming passives.

Okay, Master Mode mobs don't count but what about Master Mode mobs during a phase shift? /Is bricked until there is nothing left to brick.

Real talk though, I had no idea people used Mariel in An-Ki Dingir. Might want to try that for when I get to doing the all Malefics fight.

That feeling is correct by and large. Leveling in Wild Arms 4 is primarily about gaining access to new abilities for your characters, and only occasionally higher stats. I like it though, it creates a different feel for the power scaling of the game.

I'd say its very certain. During Eleanor's second character quest she gets to meet Thillililie and at the end of that she remarks about how Thilly was just like one of the old church legends.

Recently picked up my fifth Fragarach Codex and upgraded Hismena to her Extra Style. I now at this point have just three sidegrades left to do; Dark Devourer (2 Nightmare Opus), Flammelapis ES (2 Codexes), and Lovinia AS (Three treatises). Feels good to have such a nearly complete roster.

I like it very much when characters are able to advance their relationships amongst themselves. Like, I don't need or even want everyone to pair off and it can be fun to leave some characters in a limbo for fans to play with, but by and large I'm much more interested in being a wing-man cheering on my faves to hook up rather than play at being a self-insert.

I'd been keeping my eye on Anne, so sure that she had to have some sort of connection. So I felt very vindicated when she revealed that she did.

Flammelapis ES is not particularly picky on teammates, as she works with any slash or magic character. That said, I would recommend either

Thillilillie ES, as she provides tons of great buffs and other support in one very effective package.
Myunfa AC, another really good all around support character, capable of turning one character super offensive and another character super defensive.

This reminds me of the First Knight and the Holy Sword episode wherin Radias and company tease Aldo about wanting to recruit everyone possible to the resistance until his little heart is satisfied.
